The Z-Star Improves with Age
For optimal distance, Srixon’s FastLayer Core contains a soft center with increased firmness towards the outer core. This allows for a medium compression design to make the most of golfers’ head speeds while also maintaining a soft feel.Spin is increased by a brand-new Spin Skin, that uses a unique urethane coating designed to increase groove interaction in the short game. For consistent aerodynamic performance, the Z-star uses Srixon’s 338 Speed Dimple pattern that is engineered for increased lift and high resistance to wind.

Love the balls and the design of the customization was what I was looking for. The color of the customization was a lighter than what I would've liked.

Can't beat the Performance or Value
The Srixon Z-Star is fantastic! Compared to the Z-Star XV it feels much softer. I don't feel as if I lost any distance either. So, if the Z-Star is soft feeling and has great spin into greens (on edge of being too spiny from mid irons), and great distance then it's a no brainer. I love the Z-Star. It's a better performer than Chrome Soft. It's about even with TP5 but much cheaper. So go with Z-Star if you want all the performance, perhaps, without the name recognition.
I got it with XL Align and it has helped my putting immensely along with my training Wellputt mat I've gone from 2.33 putts per green to 1.78.

Srixon Tour balls
Great feel with long irons, can control spin easily. good feel with putter. Solid choice for lower handicappers, and a lot less expensive than Prov V.
