The ZXi5 and ZXi7 combination delivers the best of both worlds, with powerful distance in the long Irons and tour-validated workability in the short Irons, accented by distinctive, limited edition touches like a custom USA flag ferrule and refined paintfill.
- What's the softest steel they've ever used to make an Iron? S15C, which makes ZXi7 7% softer. ZXi5 and ZXiU face plates are also 14% softer. And ZXi4 now features the softer SUS17-47 for its body material.
- Using softer steels enhances ZXi feel. But strength matters, too. To deliver both, they used Condensed Forging. Here's how it works: The hydraulic dies which forge red-hot billets into ZXi Irons imprint an array of raised features onto each rough Iron shape. A second forge condenses those protrusions back into the clubhead, placing strength in those precise locations without sacrificing overall feel.
- Because Condensed Forging adds localized strength right where we need it, we have the freedom to re-optimize the temperature of their heat-treating ovens and produce their softest treatments yet.
- MainFrame saves additional weight and adds more MOI through an enhanced network of milled channels on the back side of the Iron face. At impact, this system amplifies ball speed and adds forgiveness.
- A thin topline, narrow sole, short blade, and minimal offset-the preferred look for tour-level and low-handicap golfers. These compact players Irons feature a muscle-back cavity for maximum workability and a razor-sharp look.
