Manufacturer Description

The new TaylorMade Penta TP3 golf balls are the only Tour quality ball with a urethane cover for under $35. It features a high COR for increased speed and a low compression to ease driver spin, resulting in extreme distance. Looking at the ball mantle, it works hand-in-hand with the core to increase the ball speed, while the mantle's urethane cover increases the amount of spin from your wedges and irons. Finally, the outside cover of the Penta TP consists of a cast thermoset urethane material, which will provide high greenside spin and an extremely soft feel. It delivers superior performance at a superior price. So play the TaylorMade Penta TP3 - and start the round $10 up.

  • Cover – Cast thermoset urethane delivers soft feel and high greenside spin
  • Mantle –Works with core to build speed and urethane cover for increased iron and wedge spin
  • Core – High COR for speed/low compression to ease driver spin for maximum distance

I Dont golf but 1 to 2 times a month, and I noticed that I seem to hit the ball straighter then the other balls I have tried. I usually shot about 94 to 96 and last 2 rounds shot a 89 and a 90. Thanks

I tried the TP5 balls and liked them; then tried the TP3 balls and liked 'em even more. At half the price (or less) they perform as well as anything I've played. Admittedly I'm not ever going to get paid a million bucks to play golf, but ... Excellent feel. Excellent distance. Stop and even back up a taste (on short irons). Good feel off of the putter. I can't comment on their durability, since they often find their way off the reservation before I've played more than 18 holes with them. (My fault, not theirs).

Ball stays on face longer for better mid to short iron feel. Lower compression gives average golfer a little more distance and better cool weather performance. Durable and affordable at price I paid.

This is truly a tour-caliber golf ball. Great for anyone who values distance, but also wants control, feel, and that 'bite' around the greens. This ball is better than Callaway's Chrome and Chrome+ in my opinion. It's longer, and more durable. This is my new "Go-To" ball. Great all-around performer. Now that they have renamed it RocketBallz Urethane, last year's Penta TP3 is priced even better than ever.

I have a hard time telling the difference between the new TP3s I just got and the TP5s I've been playing for over a year. This is a top flight ball and at a much more reasonable price. Don't know why you would play a ball that cost much more than this ... unless you just want to personally stimulate the economy.

Agree, I swing around 95 MPH to 100 MPH in a good day. TP3 seems goes a little further for me than ProV1. Also seems straighter - don't know if that just my immagination.
