Nike Ignite Golf Balls

Much better ball than the "Juice" and much better price than the Nike One series. Ball has great feel and workability around greens though not as much as the One. Distance is as good as the Juice without sacrificing any control. Very good ball for the price. I'll be playing with these for a while.

I was looking forward to the introduction of this ball as an upgrade from the lower end Nike balls (Mojo, Power Distance, and previously TA2/spn). However I was really disappointed. These balls do travel far and have some control on the greens. They make an annoying sound off of the driver and putter. If you want distance and control with a lower trajectory, use the Nike One Black. If you want the distance and the ability to hit the ball high, then use the Power Distance balls. I think these balls will frustrate golfers because they are average at both. The spin you gain is just enough to add more spin to your drives and irons sideway. And the distance is not equal to the other Nike balls. They also do not look as attractive as the other Nike balls.

Received a free two-ball trial pack at a Nike event. Just like what is stated in an earlier review, this ball goes a mile without going offline. Seems to fly very straight even when it felt like I didn't hit it solid. When I did hit it solid, it flew!! Had a couple of chips that landed soft but without the spin I get from using the '06 Nike Black but for $24 is a good deal.

I normally play the "Hawk" by Hogan but this past week I boought a box of Nike Ignite. I wasn't disappointed at all. This ball flew farther than and straighter than the Hawk. It felt great hitting short shots (under 100 yards) off my irons.I can't speak to it's backspin since playing conditions aren't ideal to judge. But my standrds are high since I am able to stop the Hawk on a short string.My only complaint with this ball is that it felt alittle squirrely off the face of the putter. But this could be the newness of playing this ball for the first time. Overall, I was very pleased with this ball and look forward to hiting it again and again.

I have to say I was really surprised!! Thought the One Platinum was a great ball but for the price these are the best you can buy. You may give up a few yards off the tee but if you can work your shots it is worth the money you save a dozen. I will buy these for play but will still buy the Platinum for tournaments.
