Bridgestone Tour B XS Golf Balls - 2 Ball Sleeve

The weather got warm enough to go out and check out the new ball in my outdoor hitting bay with the SkyTrac launch monitor. I have some of last years Tour B XS balls to compare it to. Off the driver the spin was about the same with a small increase in ball speed and launch. With the 7i there was no appreciable difference except for a slightly higher launch. The wedge got an additional 100rpm spin rate. the ball did not feel "soft" on the full shots I made. I didn't check out the feel on chip shots. I was impressed that GolfBalls.com put their AlignXL customization on the ball, a feature I like and use. I really liked the idea of sending out test samples of new golf balls.

Good way to test balls at a minimal price before buying.

Played the ball in consistent winds of 15-20 mph and 45 degrees. Ball flight was surprisingly unaffected by side winds and bore through the air pretty well for the temperature. Approaches and around the greens the ball seemed to have less spin that my normal B X that I play although it was still very good. I’ve been working to reduce my spin rate on approaches and have been experimenting with even some distance balls. This ball felt great of the face, had all the spin the distance balls can't generate around the green and did not rip back on approaches. The feeling off the putter was soft but not mushy. Wondering how I will know when this version becomes the stock version.

I have been a ProV1x player for several years now. Typically a mid to high 70’s player and naturally spin the ball well. I was interested in trying a new ball as it’s been several years since I have strayed away from my norm. I was really happy with this Bridgestone ball. The flight of the ball seemed easy to control, great spin around the greens and it had a great feel off the face. The only downfall is that the ball scuffed a little easier than I had hoped even without hitting a cart path or anything hard. Overall, a great ball.
