The bright neon orange coloring allows you to see the ball in low light or overcast conditions and quickly spot it on the green or in the rough.     The Duo Soft Optix Matte golf ball is relative inexpensive. It is fairly long in distance and is a very durable ball. Also, any markings that are placed on the ball do not wash off with water and remain on the ball for a long time.

    If I hadn't played these inexpensive "distance" balls I'd still not believe that they do go far (at least as far as Pro V1 or any other "Tour" ball and I'd certainly not believe that they spin like a "tour" ball and hold greens almost as well as a Pro V1. Granted, it's winter and temperatures were cool (50-65 degrees) on the 3 days I've played these balls. I tried them because the Wilson propaganda was just what I was looking for in a soft winter ball as I use yellow and orange balls only in the winter for visibility but most feel like rocks. I was very pleasantly surprised and will give them a go when it's warmer as well and if they perform just as well (maybe better/more spin) then I'll buy them in white.
