Fair
Yellow color chips and peels easily. Also the names and special printings do not stay on balls after being played a few holes.

Seeing pink
In normal play, not from a cart path, in my first sleeve, two of the balls had the yellow cover come off a bit to reveal a pink color. Generally the cover scuffs more easily than the Pro V.

One of the least durable balls I’ve ever played
While the ball is great for performance, you’d be lucky to make it through 1-2 holes before the cover starts to come off. Taylormade have done a terrible job with this yellow ball. It’s unfortunate because the white one performs well. Skip this and get the Titleist.

Great Ball But Color Can Come Off
I find the Taylor TP5X to be as long or longer than any other high performance ball out there. It also spins high enough that I can't tell the difference between it and other competitor balls. The one area where I think these balls can be improved upon is in the durability of the color. While I love the color (it is slightly brighter and lighter than other yellow balls), I have noticed that if the ball hits a cart path or tree, the Taylor TP5x is more likely to lose some of the yellow color when scratched. This is not the case with the many other yellow balls I've played. The ball gets white on these scratch spots at times. It almost looks like the yellow color is painted on rather than the same color throughout the core. Still love the ball and have reordered them.
