Give it a try
As I get older (76) the swing slows down and the ProV1s get slightly more difficult to provide maximum distance and control. I thought that I might give the 55s a try. Now I've had some experience hitting the Supersoft balls during 30-40 degree winter rounds and I liked them for what they are. The 55s surprised me. The lower compression does not translate into soft and short but rather feels like an NXT Soft. The weather the past two weeks has been 90 degree hot with higher than normal humidity. I've alternated with ProV1s as an experiment. My conclusion is that the 55s are a pleasant surprise. Adequate distance and sufficient short game feed back. As a bonus, these balls are very durable and the yellow color is bright enough to find in heavy rough.
