I purchased this club as a replacement club for my old 3-wood (Ram); the stiff shaft was the trick, I get a great launch from the tee box at an average distance of 250yds and from a flat lie in the middle of the fairway I get an average of 230yds. This club is ideal for the fast swinger thats looking for some great distance. A must buy, for a must player looking for a better fairway/driver player. Great club Maxfli.

Great Question.
The answer is both! They go hand in hand together. That's why so many companies taught High Launch clubs or balls. More carry, etc.....More height should translate into more distance.
