The easiest to fly high and land soft!
3/12/2009
If you are getting older (I'm 48) and losing your ability to hit long irons well most of us opt for the hybrid. I tested than bought the 9 wood descibed here. It flies as high as my 7 iron and lands in a similar fashion. I must admit, it is a little embarrasing to pull it from the bag on a 200 yard par 3, but when I hit a shot like I have been the conversation changes from breaking balls to "Where did you get that club? A little $$ ($250) but what would you pay to shave a stroke or 2 off of your handicap??

Great Question. The answer is both! They go hand in hand together. That's why so many companies taught High Launch clubs or balls. More carry, etc.....More height should translate into more distance. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Play Well, Johnny
