TaylorMade RocketBallz Tour TP Driver Overview

The TaylorMade RocketBallz driver is the newest addition to TaylorMade's high-performance family of golf clubs. Following the huge success of their white R11 and Burner SuperFast 2.0 franchises, the new tunable RocketBallz driver continues to set the bar in driver performance.

Light, Fast and Adjustable

The RocketBallz driver incorporates TaylorMade's Flight Control Technology (FCT) into a up-to-date, aerodynamic clubhead outfitted with an extremely lightweight, 50-gram shaft. The standard RocketBallz driver's combo of its lightweight shaft and grip results in an overall club weight loss of less than 300 grams.

Rebalanced and Redesigned

Completely rebalanced, the slightly higher swingweight is designed to gives you more swing speed. TaylorMade also redesigned the shaft mass-properties of the clubhead. This creates a draw-bias and doesn't sacrifice feel or playability. Measuring in at 46 inches, the RocketBallz promotes the ultimate combination of clubhead speed and control. Additionally, the lightweight components, redesigned head mass properties and the new aerodynamics make the standard RocketBallz driver up to 5-yards longer than any of TaylorMade's previous drivers.

Flight Control Technology (FCT) Effects Loft and Face Angle

FCT is engineered to allow you to adjust the driver's face angle and loft. When you adjust the loft, it will always affect the face angle, and vice versa. Adding loft results in the face angle closing. while reducing loft opens the face angle. Looking at it the other way, when you open the face angle, you lose loft. Closing the face angle results in adding loft. So tuning the TaylorMade RocketBallz depends on your individual game and needs.

The Science of White

The RocketBallz driver's white crown color and black PVD face gives the club optimum contrast against the turf to make aiming the club incredibly easy. The crown color also eliminates high-intensity "hot spots" that you often see on gloss-finished metalwoods directly in the sunlight. The unique crown color makes it appear 2% larger, helping to build confidence on the tee.

Two Models: Standard and Tour

TaylorMade is offering two models: the Rocketball Tour version and the standard RocketBallz driver. The standard version features a larger address appearance and standard face-height. The Tour version is mid-sized at address and has a deeper face. Both clubheads are traditionally shaped and combine TaylorMade's Thick-Thin crown design and Ultra-Thin Wall for optimum CG location and improved overall aerodynamics. If you need more customization, the RocketBallz TP driver gives you the option of 25 different shafts.

Tour Features

When compared to the standard version, the RocketBallz Tour driver features a more penetrating trajectory, a neutral flight bias and Tour shaft options - the TP version of the RocketBallz Tour offers 25 different shaft options. You also have the option of either a 9-degree or 10.5-degree lofts.
