MacGregor Mactec NVG2 Driver

Ok, I read the previous review about this driver (which was a bad rating) and had to give my oppinion. I bought this driver last year and while it take take me a bit to get used to, I know CRUSH the ball off the tee!! I usually hit a slight fade with the driver (due to my swing) and consistantly hit my drives 240 - 280 range, with the occasional 300+ drive. The cupface technology is true and DOES work. If you hit it off center of the face, it will still get out there (no you won't hit a 300 yd. bomb hit

I ordered the Mactec NVG2 9.5 with a stiff Fujikura shaft. I hit it for the first time today. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. It felt like I was swinging a tin can at the end of a bullwhip. The stiff shaft was much more flexible than the stiff stock shaft that came on my R5 driver. Also, the Mactec sounded like a loud "ding" when I made contact. It didn't sound like the ball was hit with authority. The club doesn't allow you to feel your shots.
