Feel (Compression)
Feel is a term that considers the firmness or compression of the golf ball. Typically the softer the golf ball feels, the lower the compression rating. A general rule of thumb about golf ball compression is that players with a lower swing speed should use a lower compression ball to take advantage of the added spring affect.

9 Iron Spin
9 iron spin is regarding the backward rotation of the golf ball in flight or the measured rate of that rotation. Most golfers think of backspin more in relation to shorter irons and wedges. Backspin is what causes some wedge shots to "back up" on the green, or roll backwards after hitting the green.

Not Soft Enough
10/4/2011
I like this ball very much. It has good distance and spin control. My short game is crisper with some backspin. The only part of this ball that doesn't work for me is the hardness of the ball off my putter. If the Gamer v2 was more like a Noodle+ in terms of cover softness, this would be my new ball.

Gamer v2

I finally got myself a dozen of the new Gamer V2 golfballs and over the last year and a half I have hit a dozen or more different balls. I have to say no ball has felt better off the tee and in the fairway than the new Gamer V2 off the tee the ball just explodes and just keeps going, wind or no wind. It is the best bang for your buck I am sold.

We haven't seen any test results on this but from a dollar standpoint I would give the V2 a try. It's a great ball for the money. Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken, according to one of the magazine hot list reviews stated that the original Diablo (pre-Diablo tour) shared the same core as the Gamer V2, with the only difference being that the V2 was a three piece. I believe it was also mentioned that if the V2 had just a little more spin it wold have made it into the "Gold" category (read: players category). I tried both extensively and settled on the V2 myself.

Several weeks ago I found a Top-Flite "Freak" golf ball, which to me hits as well as a Titlest Pro V-1 which I normally use. I have been unable to find the "Freak" in any store. H

It appears the only company carrying that product is Walmart. I tried to get information for you and Walmart is the only company that shows up on my search.

Jerry, the shelf life of the golf balls if stored in a climate controlled area is non existent. The balls will perform to the standards they were produced at the time. If you are playing an older golf ball you may notice differences from performance of newer balls but that is due to advances in technology not because the ball is "dead". Only storing balls out doors or in non controllable climates will you notice the balls only last around 2 years in most cases.

Are not range balls manufactured differently for the extra abuse they receive? I factor in the difference from 'range distance' to 'course distance.' My course distance will a 'normal' ball is always about 10-30 yards better than the 'range rocks'. For fun, take a range ball onto course and compare. At PGA events, the range balls are new Titleists to match the course balls the pros may use. Pros switch out balls after they go 'out-of-round' which is determined by a Acu-Check tool. I think the
