Golfballs.com Staff Review: from Luke
Distance Ball from Titleist
1/20/2014
Titleist’s distance ball. This 2-piece ball boasts the fastest core in the Titleist family and should give more distance to any player. It will pale in comparison to the Pro V1’s in green side feel and control, but sometimes we all just want a bit more distance! This one should fly long and straight for you and should not break the bank.

As good as advertised!

I've been playing the Velocity for awhile, and am always looking for a good deal on them. I don't see much, if any, difference between the 2012 models and the new ones, so this is a substantial saving. I'll be ordering more, soon.

Acceptable for the Price

It is my fault for not reading the fine print, but I was also surprised when the golf balls arrived in a cardboard golfballs.com box and not in Titleist sleeves. Because of this, all of the golf balls arrived covered in a coating of dust and cardboard particles and didn't necessarily have the new golf ball look or feel to them. They played fine once I wiped the dust and cardboard shavings off them. They did arrive in a timely manner without any major issues. Overall, it is a fine golf ball. The Velocity has a soft feel and I was able to hit it for good distance. If you are like me and prefer to have new golf balls in a sleeve, these aren't for you, but otherwise they are just like any other Titleist you would find a bulk bin. They are a good value for the price, but simply lack the complete feel of new, unused balls.

Try the Wilson Staff Zips. Zero compression ball. Very easy to compress.

The Wilson staff duo ball, has 40 compression. Out standing distance for slower swing speeds.
