Manufacturer Description

The new Titleist Pro V1 represents the coalescence of three of Titleist's industry leading technologies: large solid core, multi-component construction, and high performance Urethane Elastomer cover technology. Fast initial velocity, lower spin and high launch combine to produce a flatter, less arcing ascent and straight ball flight for exceptional driver and long iron distance. The trajectory profile of the New Titleist Pro V1 generates a steep angle of descent into the green and provides Drop-and-Stop™ performance on approach shots. Soft and thin 0.030'' urethane elastomer™ cover

  • Soft and thin 0.030'' urethane elastomer™ cover

Needs more spin
4/2/2005
I have played the pro v1 for awhile and have been pretty happy except I've always wished they would spin just a little more. Now Titliest makes a new ball and has taken even more spin from it. Back to looking for a softer ball "like the Callaway hx blue".

A Good Ball - Not Great

This is a good ball. Callaway has made a better ball the HX Tour. For a pratice round the Pro-V is an excellent choice, but when the game is on the line I pull out the Callaway. I have both in my bag.. one for pratice one for score.

Awesome Ball!!!

I tried this ball, and I loved it right a way.I have a swing speed of 95-100 mph, and I get really good distance of the tee, and I get really good spin of of my wedges and short irons I highly recommend this ball to any serious golfer.

Best Ball
8/5/2004
In my opinion the Titlest Pro V1 is the best ball on the market today. Being a 9 handicap I get good distance with the driver and a fair amount of spin with the wedges and the Pro V1 performs exceptionally in both of those catagories.

Best ball ever made yet
6/24/2004
This ball is uncomparable. The mix of distance off the tee and spin on greens is just unheard of. I can now make a 3-iron take one bounce and stop. No other ball could do that. It also has unbelievable feel around the greens and also this ball putts very true and right on line. It is a little pricy though. I highly suggest the Pro V1 ball to ANYONE!

Jerry, the shelf life of the golf balls if stored in a climate controlled area is non existent. The balls will perform to the standards they were produced at the time. If you are playing an older golf ball you may notice differences from performance of newer balls but that is due to advances in technology not because the ball is "dead". Only storing balls out doors or in non controllable climates will you notice the balls only last around 2 years in most cases.

Is ID-Align aligned along 1) the center of balance, 2) the seam of two part cover, or 3) just a few dots on either side of initials?

Thank you for your question. The IDAlign service is centered in accordance to the logo of the manufacturer, in many cases the balls we print on are seamless. The are 6 different Golfballs.com ID-Align selections to choose from including arrows, lines, dots, or stars. For additional inquiries, please contact us at 1-800-372-2557. Thanks, Andy

Excellent question. Nowadays so many balls aren't classified as having a "urethane" cover but more now classified under their own brand name cover. But please be sure and review ball descriptions as many of them do have the cover named in the description. Thanks, Johnny
