Technical Data

Swing Speed
Swing speed is a measure of velocity, in miles per hour, of how fast the club head of a golf club is traveling at the point it makes impact with the golf ball. Swing speed can be recorded by a launch monitor or other electronic radar devices.

Handicap
Balls designed for higher handicap golfers generally have harder covers that result in lower spin rates with irons and drivers. Balls designed for low handicap golfers tend to offer your more control and spin.

Feel (Compression)
Feel is a term that considers the firmness or compression of the golf ball. Typically the softer the golf ball feels, the lower the compression rating. A general rule of thumb about golf ball compression is that players with a lower swing speed should use a lower compression ball to take advantage of the added spring affect.

9 Iron Spin
9 iron spin is regarding the backward rotation of the golf ball in flight or the measured rate of that rotation. Most golfers think of backspin more in relation to shorter irons and wedges. Backspin is what causes some wedge shots to "back up" on the green, or roll backwards after hitting the green.

Dollar for dollar this is one of the best balls out there. A while back, consumer reports did a golf ball test and among the top five rated including the ProV1's and other expensive balls, the Nike Power Soft was rated in the top five.

I cannot believe that a ball so cheap can offer such distance and control. No more Titleist's or Callaway's for me. I bought these for my wife,a beginner, and I,a 3 handicap, love them.

A great ball for beginners...

When I first started playing golf, I picked up a box of these because of their low price. I never had to worry about sacrificing them in the woods or lakes because they were so cheap! The ball flies great and has quite a bit of green control. Try it out if you're a newbie.

Frequently asked questions about

what is the difference between the ndx heat and power distance soft is one as good as the other
don udell

The Power Distance soft is a lower compression golf ball, meant for lower swing speeds. Both balls are made using very similar covers. The power distance has a surlyn cover, and the NDX heat has an ionomer cover. Thanks for the question.

Jim, I can give you a much more accurate price with a postal code. As an estimate I would think it would be close to $70.00.
