i-Core Technology
The dual core construction of Callaway HEX Black Tour golf balls provide optimum spin separation from the tee-to-green. The high spin separation helps to generate increased distance off the tee and long irons due to its lower spin, and higher spin closer to the green for unparalleled greenside control. The inner and outer core has a high compression, while the inner core features an extremely soft compression. I would gladly give this a 5 if the durability was a little better. I eat the outside of them up pretty quick unfortunately. Other than that I think it is the best ball that I have ever played. I am a dedicated PROV guy until this one came out.

Ive played the Pro V1x for a long time but gave these a try and I feel they are a little longer and are great for greenside control. Durability is slightly less than that of the Pro V1x but I think the added distance and better greenside control places it above the Pro V1X in my opinion.

I actually won the Dozen-A-Day Give Away Sweeps; Thank you for the balls. The Hex Black Tour is the greatest ball Ive every play with. I had some real great drives with them and the best one day was better then 320 Yards. Also hit them great with Irons makes par 5 a par 4 even had may first Eagle with these Hex Black Tour.

Very good ball. Distance is good with a firmer feel than many other premium spin balls. As with any other high spinning ball they scuff up very easily. Don't expect them to stay pristine like a durable ball will.
Good around the greens and roll well off the putter. Good feel particularly rolling them on slower greens.

I actually won the Dozen-A-Day sweeps; Thanks So Much! The HEX Black Tour is a really great ball. I love everything about it: distance, control and feel. The first one I used lasted for about 2 shots less than 3 full rounds: I thought I could carry the water to the green on 18 from gnarly rough-duh, should've laid up. Anyway, love them so much I gave up a couple to good friends to try. Thanks Again, Super Product.

You should take a look at the Hex Chrome ball.
Not the new Hex Chrome + but the regular Hex Chrome.

I am 59 years old and my swing speed is between 95-100 mph. Will the ball not fly well for me at this speed? I love these balls foe short irons and chipping, but don't want to lose much distance. Thanks

I just purchased the Callaway Razr X clubs and now im looking for a good ball to play. Would it be a good decision for me to go with the Callaway Hex Black Tour or should I try another ball?

The Hex Black is a very good ball. Long and straight (bores through the wind), with an excellent trajectory. Good feel around the greens.
The only downside and it is a big one, is that the cover is NOT very durable. I'm used to new balls (in the $40 - $45 price range) lasting 24-36 holes before needing to be replaced due to excessive wear/scuffing.
The Hex balls scuff up within 2-3 holes & by hole nine, I want to take it out of play.
This cover problem needs to be addressed. L

any ball will scuff using wedges, or lower lofted clubs, I use the hex or Pro V 1, they scuff just the same.

Love this ball. Feels great off of woods, irons and putter. Usually a 90's shooter on home course but shot 89, 87, 86 first three times I used it. Took skins and used the net gain to buy more Hex Black. It does scuff a bit but not being an expert, I think its the thin outer layer. R&D should get that fixed. Still love the ball.

All of your pro line balls have soft covers for spin and feel, you had to give up distance for the feel and spin till the new trend in pro balls. The old balls you play the balls four or five holes and changed balls, now you play the same ball two rounds.
