Golfballs.com Expert Description
Generate more speed while also receiving better feel and control thanks to the 2016 Callaway Golf Apex CF Graphite Iron Set. Designed for the amateur player, these irons incorporate progressive configurations, Cup 360 technology, and incredibly soft carbon steel, for a set of irons that is sure to help shave some points and get you to more greens.
Forged for Feel and Performance
Using advanced quadruple net forging and precision milling in the manipulation of the 1025 mild carbon steel allows the Apex CF graphite irons to give a soft feel with better playability. Each club head also incorporates multiple pieces to give each iron in the set a unique combination of feel, distance, and control.
The longer 3-7 irons include Cup 360 technology for faster ball speeds and better forgiveness along the face, while the shorter 8-AW irons use a reformulated face plate to maximize control and improve feel. You’ll find more offset and forgiveness in the longer clubs, and a more compact shape with less offset in shorter irons for more control and enhanced feel. Sole widths, CG location, and notch weighting are also optimized for each club to provide the best balance between trajectory, forgiveness, control, and playability.
Features of the Callaway Golf Apex CF 16 Graphite Iron Set:
- The progressive offset, sole widths, CG height and notch weighting provide the right balance
- The longer irons feature more offset where you need it for more forgiveness
- The shorter irons have a more compact shape with less offset for feel and control
