Manufacturer Description

Tour Edge Hot Launch 2 fairway woods are constructed from 450 SS hyper steel and utilize variable face thickness (VFT) technology to enhance rebound effect for powerful distance.

Twice as heavy as on previous models, a weight located in the rear sole of the fairway wood helps create a deep center of gravity for an easy launch and added forgiveness on off-center hits.

The Hot Launch's shallow face design and low center of gravity are the ideal combination to produce higher launch angles with less spin. Add an ultra-light graphite shaft engineered by UST Mamiya for Tour Edge, and the Hot Launch 2 fairway woods are your perfect weapon for long, high-flying fairway wood shots.

  • Heavy rear sole weight creates deep CG for easy launch and greater forgiveness
  • Shallow face design and variable face thickness provide a high, powerful launch from a huge sweet spot
  • Ultra-light graphite shafts engineered by UST Mamiya deliver high-flying performance

Tour Edge Fairway

I wanted to try one of these because reviews were strong. I must admit, after only 2 rounds the club has serious pop. Off the tee it is long and forgiving on mishits. The club is heavy at the bottom which really helps get the ball up. However, I haven't had as much success from the fairway. It has a rather large flat sole plate and it takes a bit to get used to since I have an upright plane. I'll try a shallower plane and see if that works off the turf. Overall, a very nice club for the price.
