The “Burner” was once one of the iconic golf club names, and now TaylorMade is bringing it back with their new AeroBurner Fairway wood lines. TaylorMade is updating their old club design with some of the most innovative aerodynamic technologies of today.
The focus of the new AeroBurner family is set on one target - speed. It achieves this by utilizing a lightweight construction mixed with aerodynamic features that optimize the way your swing is impacted by the air's friction. The new Aero Hosel merges with a shallow face and raised center crown to allow the club to perform with superior aerodynamics.
Open Channel Speed Pocket
On the club's underside, you will find an open slot that locks into position behind the face. This hollowed out design provides extra flexibility to give you a bigger sweet spot, while also reducing spin by up to 700 rpm. The Speed Pocket, which is now twice as long, also yields faster ball speeds through easy energy transfer.
This means that your yardage can increase without you expending more of your strength. Finally, the placement of the speed pocket moves the center of gravity to a position that is low and forward in order to diminish spin and augment launch heights.
