Golfballs.com Expert Description
When you step up to the teeing ground, be sure to have Callaway Chrome Soft Yellow golf balls with you. With their lightweight core, these golf balls are designed to maximize distance while minimizing drag. Plus, the bright yellow coloring makes for easy tracking when the light begins to fade or you get stuck in the rough.
Long Distance via Low Spin
Discover maximum ball speed and distance off the tee, due to Callaway’s SoftFast Core which produces a lower spin. Optimized HEX Aerodynamics allows your ball to cut through the air with little resistance and achieve even higher lifts.
The Chrome Soft Yellow ball stands at a low 65 compression and gives an incredibly soft feel on shots off the iron and around the green. This leads to the ability to purposefully bend the ball’s trajectory like an expert.
Control When You Need it the Most
When you’re looking to tear onto the green, you’re also going to need a lot of control. The bright yellow Tour Urethane Cover is designed to give you a supremely soft feel for more consistency and control when you’re approaching or are on the green.
- Bright Yellow cover
- Reduces spin and retains energy off the driver to maximize ball speed and distance
- Helps retain the energy stored in the core, which translates to faster ball speeds
- Softest, durable cover grips the clubface for excellent control into and around the green
- Optimizes lift and reduces drag to help increase distance
User Ratings & Reviews
I have been using the yellow chrome soft balls for a couple years. I'm not sure if I'm qualified to rate the function of the balls compared to other balls. But, I like and use them exclusively. I like yellow because they are easy to find in the rough (in there too often) and I don't have to mark them (everyone else uses white).

My golf game is taking a monumental leap. Some of that has to do with understanding the physics of how to strike the ball and, generally, keeping the same swing and trusting in the club. So my scores are now consistently below 100 and I'm knocking on the door of breaking 90.
That said, I played the Callaway super soft and then switched to the Callaway soft. Reason for the switch was because my swing was more consistent and faster so I thought I'd take advantage of the next ball up for hardness. The Callaway soft is longer and remains true in terms of aim. Likely more forgiving for slices, but I'd like to think it's my swing.
As for color, I find the yellow easier to spot for the occasional landing in the rough cut shot.

Hit long. Feel great coming off the face of the club. Very durable. I have never liked balls that go "clack" when you hit them.

For my game this ball is great. I don't consider myself to be a long hitter but I get all I want from this ball. Every bit as good as Pro V1 and much more affordable. I would recommend this ball to anyone and the color yellow is easy to locate on a bright and sunny day, even on shots off the fairway.
