I purchased the V2 after already owning a GPS device for on course play. I needed to know how many yards it was during practice just as much as on the course. With the Bushnell V2, it was simple and with a relatively steady hand, you can easily range up to 250 yards to a flag stick It is built well, except for the battery cover, which I found a little cheezy/ All in all, I would buy one again, just check out the battery cover to make sure the one you get is well made. I love this thing!
