Hi, my swing speed is around 93-95 mph. Should I go with the Motore F1 Regular or Stiff?
thanks.

Hi, thanks for the question. I would definitely recommend a stiff flex for that swing speed. -Parker

Hi, because I read on the description that th Motore F1 is designed to be slightly stiffer, and if I go to stiff, it will be ok?
It looks like the shaft is fit specifically for the r9. Is it possible to put a different shaft on it beside whats offered, like a Graffoly Epic, or something else?

Unfortunately Taylor Made only offers a select few shafts available for the R9. You are limited to the Fujikura Motore F1, Aldila VooDoo, Mistubishi Fubuki, and the Matrix HD6 and XCON 5.
What shafts that come with the R9 460 offer a high kickpoint?
Thanks.

The only option with a true high kickpoint is the Aldila Voodoo NV6. Other mid-high kick shafts are the Mitsubishi Fubuki 63 and 73, the Fujikura Motore F1 65 & 85, and the Aldila Voodoo VS6.
Hello, I currently play a PING G10 DRAW with a GRAF-A-LOY red regular shaft. I am very interested in the R9 460. When I went for the fitting on my G10 I was told I need a stiffer tip to help me keep t

Good question. If you are looking for a shaft offering similar ball flight to the Grafalloy ProLaunch Red try the Aldila Voodoo NV6 that is available in the R9 TP. This is the lowest launching shaft available for this head.
Club speed with driver is between 115 and 120. Which shaft would you recommend?

Charles, that head speed would depict an extra stiff flex. To determine the best shaft of what is available I will need some more information. If you are looking to lower your ball flight, go with the Aldila Voodoo NV6. Looking for lower torque (better accuracy) go with the Mitsubishi Fubuki 73 X. If you want some more info, give me a call at 1-800-372-2557. Thanks. Andy.
Have always used a reg shaft in a driver. Went to a demo day for r9 460, the pro kept adjusting loft and shafts until I was slogging down the middle. He then told me what I was using 9.5 stiff ?

Without knowing exactly which shaft you ended up using at your demo day its tough to be exact. Im going to assume it was the Matrix XCon 5 which is going to be a little softer in the tip with a low kick point which could perform well for you given your head speed which is on the low side of the stiff spectrum. This option in the TP is the only one I would recommend if going with stiff if you continually play reg.
Looking at the Taylor Made TP 460 Driver with the F1 Motore shaft in stiff flex - My question is can I handle that shaft? - my Clubhead Speed with a Diver is 95 - 101 - Ball speed is in the Low to mid

Mark, your club head speed does put you in the typical stiff flex. The F1 Motore is a very good shaft offering mid launching ball flight. The regular flex would cause you to consistently lose it right and unless you swing "out of your shoes" you would not be able to catch up to the X.
I have a regular flex Fujikura speeder 757 on my current driver but would like something a little stiffer. Would the regular shaft on the 460 TP be a little firmer? Thanks
A
06/01/2009 4:44 PMGolfballs.com Employee: Andy
Thank you for your inquiry. The regular flex you have currently will be similar to the traditional reqular frequencies in all exotic shafts comparable to the Fuji 757. The closest current option in both weight and performance for the R9 shafts available would be the Mitsubishi Fubuki 73. If you are looking for a firmer shaft you would need to go with stiff as the regular flex would be very similar to what you have.
Hello,
I understand most drivers come in a 10.5 and 9.5 degree loft. I use a 10.5. When teeing off, my ball usually has a lot of loft and goes really high in the air, should I switch to a 9.5 degree

Thank you for your question.
Is it worth testing out? Absolutely. Will the 9.5 give you a more penetrating ball flight is the question. Most golfers would kill to have more hang time but I know how you feel. I was in the same boat at one time and tested different lofts much like you. I ended up staying with the higher loft though. I would test it prior to officially making a move.
Play Well,
Johnny

The higher loft will also be more controllable of the tee..

If you are not a low handicap golfer, where you play can make a lot of difference in driver loft choices. In the northern US. especially on the plains, wind can be a huge factor in driver loft effect. We have 160 yd par 3's where 10/12 handicap golfers are using drivers straight into a 35 mph wind. I use a 9.5 TM Burner draw. But I have a Titlist 10.5 I take to Phoenix (low or no wind) and FL (tree lined courses). High trajectory on windy links courses can really beat you up with a high loft. //
How much better are the TP Shafts verses the regular Adilla in the r9 460? Moderate swing speed.
A
05/29/2009 9:12 AMGolfballs.com Employee: Andy
The TP shaft options are considerably better when paired with a highly skilled golfer. The shafts are designed for higher club head speeds and consistent ball strikers looking to control their ball flight. The shaft frequency is typically stiffer and the shaft weights are traditionally heavier. A slower club head speed would be best if paired with a lighter weight shaft with a softer frequency.
my avg swing speed is about 80 to 90 . what would be the best Shaft Flex for me

Thank you for your question.
You would fall in the 'Regular' flex category based upon your swing speed.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you,

You're definitely a regular flex
Senior flex starts from 70-80
Regular is from 80 to about 100
Stiff 100 to 115ish
X-stiff 115+
I have used the YS-6 shaft in the 905T and the FT-i with pretty good success. Can you name me a couple other shafts that you think would give me the same "feel" and control? Thanks.

Thank you for your inquiry. There are a few other brands that have similar weight and launch profiles of the Graphite Design YS series. You should notice that the Aldila NVS 65, the Graphalloy ProLaunch 65, the UST V2 67, and the Fujikura E360 are all very comparable.

i have the graphalloy prolaunch 65 and it works great!is is very flexible.
My avg club speed was measured to be 108 mph , should I be looking at a extra stiff shaft
A
02/24/2009 2:00 PMGolfballs.com Employee: Andy
That clubhead speed is considered to be high enough for an extra stiff. Typically speaking, anyone who can swing their driver 105+ should be in extra stiff.
Great Question. Everything is subjective to your swing though. Do you tend to swing slower or more quickly? The rule of thumb is that if your swing speed is slower than 95mph then you should probably get a regular flex driver and if your swing is over 100mph then you should probably get a stiff flex driver. That leaves a little grey area that you from 95 to 100 where you can use either flex.
I hope this helps.
