Q
I have a Nike sumo2 str8 driver with the stock UST AXIV shaft in the A flex. Can you order the same shaft with the Str8 adapter in a REGULAR flex? What is the cost? Many thanks.
A
Yes, I can order that shaft for you. The UST Axiv Core is $119.95 through Nike.
Q
andy,
i believe i talked to you about a list for nike str-8 custom shafts from nike? i did not recieve the list?
thanks, ron jackson
Q
Dear Andy,
I would like a price on the diamana whiteboard 73 x-stiff shaft with the str8-fit adapter. Please email me with an answer.
Thanks, Gregg
A
Gregg, Nike only offers the 63 and the 83 in the BlueBoard. The Diamana options are $319.95.

Q
I just got the nike dymo str8 fit and I was wondering if nike offered any other shafts for this club.
A
Replace the shaft. Start by sliding the ferrule up the shaft by heating it lighly with a hair dryer. Then heat the adapter and slide it off the shaft, a club repairman can do this. Don't worry the adapter is marked on the bottom with a notch to show which part goes to the bottom in a neutral position. Install the ferrule with the yellow arrow on the shaft where so you can then epoxy the adapter on the shaft, make sure you have the notch on the bottom opposite the yellow arrow. I recently change
A
Nike does offer shafts that are already fit with the Str8-Fit adapter. Shafts are available from many manufacturers including UST, Aldila, Grafalloy, Graphite Design, Fujikura, and Mitsubishi. For more information on the shafts provided by the manufacturer, please give me a call at 1-800-372-2557. Thanks. Andy
Q
Is it possible to purchase just the adapter for the str8 fit Nike driver? I have a shaft already that i want to fit to my str8 fit head?
A
Scott, unfortunately the adapter is not avaialble seperately from the shaft. If you would like a Str8-Fit driver shaft it has to purchased and Nike builds it on order with the Str8-Fit capsule.

Q
Hey i was interested in ordering a Speeder 757 Stiff Tour Spec shaft to go in my dymo2. do you know if nike offers custom shaft options? if so what brands and how much is the charge on a Speeder if th
A
Jared, Nike does offer custom shafts however the Fujikura Speeder 757 is not a shaft they keep in stock. The closest option available would be the Fujikura E370. If you would like a list of the Nike shafts available please contact me at 1-800-372-2557 and I would be happy to provide that info. Thanks. Andy.
Q
Do you sell the shafts alone for the str8 fit driver? I have a stiff and would like a regular also.
A
Paul, I can special order the Nike Dymo STR8 Fit shafts for you if needed. Please contact us at 1-800-372-2557 to place an order. Thanks, Andy.
Q
I was wondering what the upcharge would be for a diamana whiteboard shaft in a 8.5 str8?
A
Thank you for your question. The Diamana white board is available in 83 gram stiff or xtra stiff for an upcharge of $200.
Q
Hello,
I understand most drivers come in a 10.5 and 9.5 degree loft. I use a 10.5. When teeing off, my ball usually has a lot of loft and goes really high in the air, should I switch to a 9.5 degree
A
Thank you for your question.
Is it worth testing out? Absolutely. Will the 9.5 give you a more penetrating ball flight is the question. Most golfers would kill to have more hang time but I know how you feel. I was in the same boat at one time and tested different lofts much like you. I ended up staying with the higher loft though. I would test it prior to officially making a move.
Play Well,
Johnny
A
The higher loft will also be more controllable of the tee..
A
If you are not a low handicap golfer, where you play can make a lot of difference in driver loft choices. In the northern US. especially on the plains, wind can be a huge factor in driver loft effect. We have 160 yd par 3's where 10/12 handicap golfers are using drivers straight into a 35 mph wind. I use a 9.5 TM Burner draw. But I have a Titlist 10.5 I take to Phoenix (low or no wind) and FL (tree lined courses). High trajectory on windy links courses can really beat you up with a high loft. //
Q
my avg swing speed is about 80 to 90 . what would be the best Shaft Flex for me
A
Thank you for your question.
You would fall in the 'Regular' flex category based upon your swing speed.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you,
Johnny
A
You're definitely a regular flex
Senior flex starts from 70-80
Regular is from 80 to about 100
Stiff 100 to 115ish
X-stiff 115+
Q
I have used the YS-6 shaft in the 905T and the FT-i with pretty good success. Can you name me a couple other shafts that you think would give me the same "feel" and control? Thanks.
A
Thank you for your inquiry. There are a few other brands that have similar weight and launch profiles of the Graphite Design YS series. You should notice that the Aldila NVS 65, the Graphalloy ProLaunch 65, the UST V2 67, and the Fujikura E360 are all very comparable.
A
i have the graphalloy prolaunch 65 and it works great!is is very flexible.
Q
I bought the STR8-Fit driver in LH. My question is are the instructions the reverse of what is in the pamplet. It doesn't appear that the markings for changing loft and draw or fade match the instruct
A
Thank you for your question. The LH model will promote the exact opposite bias (draw vs. fade) for a lefty however the booklet should only inform you of promoting a right to left, or a left to right ball flight which is the exact same setting for both a right and a left handed player.
Q
I'm not sure I understand about the different shafts. It looks like all three shafts 59, 69 and 79 are offered in Regular, Stiff and X-Stiff. Is that not the case?
A
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Nike SQ Dymo Str8 Fit. The different shaft weights are all available in the reg, stiff, and X-Stiff frequencies. In most cases the X Flex is a custom option, so if you have ordering questions please contact us at 1-800-372-2557. Thanks!
Q
Does the SQ Dymo STR8-FIT Driver conform to USGA rules? What about the similar Taylormade and Callaway drivers? Can the driver be changed from draw to fade midround without penalty? Thanks.
A
Thank you for your question.
Are all of the drivers in question USGA approved? Yes. Are you allowed to change from draw to fade midround? NO, you are not. The changes must be made prior to the beginning of your round.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Johnny
Q
The 8 positions: Are they just for draw or fade? Or is loft also controled by the sytstem? If so why is loft an option when ordering?
A
Thank you for you question. The loft can be manipulated when adjusting the angles of the face. Setting the head to draw will increase the loft offering higher ball flight while setting the face to a fade bias will decrease your loft and flight patterns. The reason you are able to select a specific loft is to make up for your attack angles which will depict the launch conditions of your drivers. With a steep swing you will generate high launch which in many cases requires the least amount of effe
Q
Do you have the optional shafts Nike has listed on it's website for this club?
A
Mr. Nielson, thank you for your inquiry. I do not have the shafts listed but they are avaialble upon request. Custom orders will be placed through me and built/shipped to you direct from Nike in this case. Custom shafts often come at additional prices, so please contact us at 1-800-372-2557 for ordering. Thanks!
Q
AXIV Core by UST - Avaible in 59, 69 or 79 Series. What is the differance between 59, 69, and 79 Series
A
Thank you for your question.
The difference is in the weight of the shaft. 59 gram shaft(Regular), 69 gram shaft(Stiff) and 79 gram shaft(x-Stiff).
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Johnny
Q
My avg club speed was measured to be 108 mph , should I be looking at a extra stiff shaft
A
That clubhead speed is considered to be high enough for an extra stiff. Typically speaking, anyone who can swing their driver 105+ should be in extra stiff.
Q
which shaft is better between regular and stiff
A
Great Question. Everything is subjective to your swing though. Do you tend to swing slower or more quickly? The rule of thumb is that if your swing speed is slower than 95mph then you should probably get a regular flex driver and if your swing is over 100mph then you should probably get a stiff flex driver. That leaves a little grey area that you from 95 to 100 where you can use either flex.
I hope this helps.
