Handicap 10 - 15
I hit a 4-iron,Project-X,5.0 shaft in store, good results, distance good, made a "spatty" sound at impact,a little skeptical on that. Come back a week later, hit short and long irons again, had better feel, realized a 85-95 mph swing was needed to make these babies come alive, purchased, hit the driving range and was amazed at the control of these, after about 100 balls, before I even hit, I knew it would be a good shot, thinner top line for me was just great, they give you confidence. Sound at impact, very close

In the Rifle shaft series the 5.0 flex is considered regular while the 6.0 is stiff so if you play a stiff shaft you would need to go with the 6.0.
I have a set of steel shaft X18s and I love these clubs so much so when the x20 came out I purchased them but with graphite reg shafts low kick. Lost yardage and strokes. HELP

Intersting, you are supposed to add yards when hitting graphite as the weight is much lighter. You may be overpowering the regular flex. Stiff may be the way to go in graphite.
Are the project x shafts 5.0 or 6.0 flighted. I have 6.0 flighted (not project x) in my X-18tour now. Do you think these would work for me?

The PX shafts that come standard with the X-22 Tour are Flighted and you can select 5.0 or 6.0. I think the irons would compare very well to the X-18 pros that you currently play.
I am right at about 5'9" and was wondering if the normal shaft length of the X-22 irons would be right for me. I have been playing for about a year now with an old set of my dads clubs but have

Thank you for your inquiry. The standard length iron set will fit most golfers ranging from 5'7" to about 5'11" according to most fitting experts. Depending on your arm length the standard iron length should be fine.
I keep reading about length of shaft, measuring wrist to floor, I am short, so what does this measurement tell me and how do I apply it to shaft length

Thank you for your question in regard to shaft lengths. The measurement from wrist to floor will determine which length you will need your shaft set at. Typically, shorter golfer will need their irons/woods cut down in order to maximize proper impact. Please determine the length of your arm from wrist to floor from a standing upright position with your arms at your side and I can determine the optimal length for you.

Also your wrist to floor measurement will determine what lie angle you need. I'm 5'3" and I needed my clubs flattened 3 degrees from standard! Look into it!
I am a average golfer looking for new clubs...current set had extra inch added to shaft length, but not sure I needed it. I am 6'2"...would a custom club fitting be recommended or would std shaf

Thank you for your inquiry. Typically guys your height will need added length to the shaft with an upright lie angle. Your arm length from wrist to floor will give a better idea as to how much additional length is needed. The majority of golfers in your height range would benefit from a 1/2" extended shaft and a 2 degree upright lie angle. The custom iron set will definately improve your ball striking ability and your consistency in your iron play. Please give us a call if you have further quest

I have old clubs looking to buy new how do I tell if my clubs are to long or short.
Thank you for your question. The 5.0 is regular flex in the Callaway Golf X-22 Tour irons and the 6.0 is considered stiff flex. For ordering questions, please call 1-800-372-2557
