Have been playing my new graphite shafted X-22s for about two months now and am totally in awe of them. The replaced my older Callawy VFTs, which were once billed as the easiest golf clubs on the face of the planet to hit. Well, the VFT technology, plus the rest of the X-series technology has been nicely married in these clubs. It is hard to hit a bad shot with them. Even muffed shots get decent distance and the roll these clubs generate is totally unbelieveable. I've listed my handcap a 20-30, but since I'

hi, thanks for the question. More than the type of club, your swing speed will help to determine the best ball for you. A person with a slower swing speed will see the most benefits from a lower compression golf ball. The opposite holds true for faster swing speeds. -Parker
I am a 6 hcp, lady 48 years old, I actually have X16, I am looking at X22 but they look a bit fat!, which ones do you advise me, X22 or X22 tour!

The X-22 and 22 Tour are both very good iron sets. The X-22 is a wider sole design and offers larger cavity backing for optimal forgiveness while the 22 Tour is a more slender profile with minimal offset. One of the biggest differences is the shaft type. The X-22 is the standard Callaway uniflex while the 22 Tour is built with Rifle Project X. Per the shaft, I would suggest for most ladies to go with the X-22 iron set but if you can swing the heavier weighted Project X then the 22 Tour would be
I'm a full 6' in my stocking feet, with fairly short legs at 32" inseam and I think my wrist to floor, last time I measured, is 35 or 35.5". I've had clubs 2* flat & 1" long graphi

Frank, in all honesty most golfers do not benefit from custom fit irons becuase the average golf swing is too inconsistent. If you are near 6 feet with 35" arm length you may be most comfortable with a 1/2" extension. If you do go with that 1/2" over, I would definately suggest having the club bent to at least 1 degree upright as the extension will flatten the overall lie angle. The reason you are able to make better contact when you grip down is because you are comfortable which in my opionion
I keep reading about length of shaft, measuring wrist to floor, I am short, so what does this measurement tell me and how do I apply it to shaft length

Thank you for your question in regard to shaft lengths. The measurement from wrist to floor will determine which length you will need your shaft set at. Typically, shorter golfer will need their irons/woods cut down in order to maximize proper impact. Please determine the length of your arm from wrist to floor from a standing upright position with your arms at your side and I can determine the optimal length for you.

Also your wrist to floor measurement will determine what lie angle you need. I'm 5'3" and I needed my clubs flattened 3 degrees from standard! Look into it!
I am a average golfer looking for new clubs...current set had extra inch added to shaft length, but not sure I needed it. I am 6'2"...would a custom club fitting be recommended or would std shaf

Thank you for your inquiry. Typically guys your height will need added length to the shaft with an upright lie angle. Your arm length from wrist to floor will give a better idea as to how much additional length is needed. The majority of golfers in your height range would benefit from a 1/2" extended shaft and a 2 degree upright lie angle. The custom iron set will definately improve your ball striking ability and your consistency in your iron play. Please give us a call if you have further quest

HOW MUCH DO THEY COST ADDING 2 INCHES TO EACH CLUB. WHY DOES IT COST SO MUCH JUST ADDING AN PITCHING WEDGE.

03/20/2009 9:51 AMGolfballs.com Employee: Andy
Thank you for your order. The X-22 iron set is 699.95 in steel shaft for ANY 8 piece setup. The standard iron set will consist of the irons 3 through pitching wedge. Adding a custom option for added length will not increase the cost of the iron set.
