  • Feels softer than the original TP Black

TP Black 6/20/2009
Handicap 10 - 15
This ball is equal in performance to the ProV1. The only difference is the fact that the name "TaylorMade" has enough letters to help with alignment. As long as the price is less than the ProV1, Nike Tour and Callaway HXi, this will be my prefered ball.

Great feel 5/13/2009
Handicap 6 - 10
The feel of this ball is fantastic. Great ball to work. Ball reacts well to swing adjustments for draw when desired and fade when desired.

what is the compression of the tour black balls .what would be the optium taylor made ball for the middle of the swing speeds.what would be the compression for this speed.
A

The TP Black is one of the higher compression balls on the market. If you are looking for a tour ball with moderate club head speed steer away from the Taylor Made ball. Try the Srixon Z-Star or the Bridgestone Tour B330.RX as either of these will spin just as much or more around the greens and with their compression at 80 for the Z-Star, and 75 for the B330.RX you should see your distance off the tee improve over other tour caliber balls.

Hi, thanks for the question. The TP red is actually the softer of the two balls. The Five piece Penta will be released soon as well. It is the first ever five piece golf ball. -Parker
