Titleist Pro V1x Golf Balls - 2009 user reviews
Over Priced 6/23/2009

As a long time Prov1x player, I'm telling you that these balls over priced. It's the same technology for years, and their ball count has more to do with tradition than technology. The Callaway Tour ix ball is better in the wind, a little longer off the tee, lasts longer before needing to be replaced, as has all the spin and control you could want.... and it's also $6 a dozen less.

the nike one tour and the proV1x have similar distance in my opinion, but the spin of the provV1x is slightly inferior to the spin of the nike on tour. but both offer that "stop and drop" nonsense that everyone seems to crave. honestly these golf balls performance are pretty close so what you are accustomed to seeing on the ball is best for you.

Pro V1x 2/12/2009
Handicap 6 - 10
I have hit proVs for years but thought I would try the Platinum One Nike after readin good reviews. That ball was 20 - 30 yards shorer than the ProVx but the real problem was spin control. The Nike was too reactive and slid off the front apron too many times. I found myself singin a parody of that Dire Straights hit "I want my Pro V One".

Q

I order ProV1x personalized golf balls as gifts several times a year and notice there is no longer a choice of font styles as there is on other brands of golf balls. Is this a permanent change?

Hi, thanks for the question. It is not a permanent change. We are running a promotion for Titleist and the only printing they allow during the promotion has to be done in all caps and arial font. -Parker

Can the print be larger?

Hi, thanks for the question. The size of the print is determined based on the number of characters requested. We have the size of a quarter to print, so if fewer letters are needed, they will be larger. -Parker
