will reduce score 11/26/2009
Handicap 6 - 10
I've been using the pro v for 2 years, bringing my handicap down to a 7 from 10. The extra yardage on the drive and the extra control on the greens saves a few strokes a game... consider a lot of par 5s reachable on two, from almost anywhere, hit and hold a green. Factor that to your game and you've saved , maybe 5 strokes... means a lot at this hdcp area..

Ever see a Patent number on a golf ball? Of course not, there are no proprietary materials or manufacturing processes. The cores are a mix of different materials, but that mix could be in a 50 cent ball core or a $5 ball. Same for covers. 3 and 4 piece balls have the additional cost of 1 or 2 more stations on the assembly line, but the cost is minimal. The truth is from the cheapest to the most expensive golf balls the manufacturing costs difference is only 8 to 14 cents per ball. Want the prestige of what

I have used pro v1 for years and i love them but my handicap hasn't changed still a 12.4. Sveeni in previous review dropped his hc by 11. I guess he has the clowns mouth figured out.

I have been playing with pinnacle exception balls, which are fine and cheap, for all summer and I have gone down from 18.3 at the start of the summer to 9.4. Since I won a few titleist prov1 balls I decided to use them for a few rounds and I have to say I don't want to go back to pinnacle. The spin control around the greens and better response off the tee are simply giving me an edge that I did not seem to get with the PEs. Since I started using them I have gone from 9.4 to 7.9 hcp in only six rounds, and

Love the Pro v1 8/19/2009
Handicap 0 - 5
I play the pro v1 all the time. I love everything about the ball except the price tag when I buy them. Ash is right, though, unless you're a strong player with high clubhead speed you're not going to notice much difference in playability and you're better off playing both a softer and more economical ball. The biggest thing I like about these balls is their ability to spin. I moved to Texas 3 years ago and the firm greens out here require a ball with a high spin rate to hold the greens.
