I love the Volvik Crystal Golf balls! 5/25/2009
Handicap 30 +
I have been golfing for 3 years now. since I lose alot of balls yet, I always buy the "reloads". I get several Volvik Crystal balls in a box of reloads and they are by farthest my favorite ball to use. I have been unable to find these balls around here. I still buy the reloads, but now I try to choose the box with the most Volvik Crystal balls in. Oh yeah, in 3 years I've taken 10 strokes off my handicap!

Volvik balls 12/22/2008
Handicap 6 - 10
I tried these balls a few years ago because of the way they looked. After playing a round with them I relized how well they preformed, easy off the tee great green side control and good feel off of my putter. Oh yeah the extra 5 yards off my tee shot did not hurt either. I recommended these balls to all my friends and pass them out every chance I get, for the price they are a real good choice for the high to mid handicapper.

Longest Ball 10/29/2008
Handicap 20-30
My club had a tournament in which the club pro hit everyone's tee shot on our longest par 5. Because I play with the orange Volvik ball, the other women were making fun of my "girlie" ball. The club pro hit my ball the farthest over Callaway and Titlest. Who's got the "girlie" ball now?

The talk is about club head speed; high, moderate and low. Just where does one go to determine club head speed and does this only apply to drivers?
A

Thank you for your inquiry. Club head speed is mainly mentioned when speaking of driving the golf ball. High club head speeds are 100 MHP+, moderate 85-99, and low would be considered below 85 MPH. Head speed will always be considered when determining shaft flex and usually ball selection. It is always great to be aware of your club head speed.

Don't worry, I'll answer your question for you. Most golf shops have equipment with which they can measure your club head speed, however they may attempt to sell you a shaft you don't need. The vast majority of people do just fine with the shaft that comes with the club.

Search for a Golfsmith or PGA Tour Superstore in your area. Golfsmith has hitting areas set up near the rear of their shops and the majority of the time no one bothers you at all. The PGA Tour Superstores usually have at least 8 perforance bays that you can try clubs out.

Jerry, the shelf life of the golf balls if stored in a climate controlled area is non existent. The balls will perform to the standards they were produced at the time. If you are playing an older golf ball you may notice differences from performance of newer balls but that is due to advances in technology not because the ball is "dead". Only storing balls out doors or in non controllable climates will you notice the balls only last around 2 years in most cases.

Is ID-Align aligned along 1) the center of balance, 2) the seam of two part cover, or 3) just a few dots on either side of initials?
A
05/04/2009 3:09 PMGolfballs.com Employee: Andy
Thank you for your question. The IDAlign service is centered in accordance to the logo of the manufacturer, in many cases the balls we print on are seamless. The are 6 different Golfballs.com ID-Align selections to choose from including arrows, lines, dots, or stars. For additional inquiries, please contact us at 1-800-372-2557. Thanks, Andy

Golf balls stored in a controlled climate, (not outside in the elements, not stored in a 100 degree temperature,)will lose ONE YARD per year. That means, obviously, if you store your golf balls for ten years they will lose only ten yards of carry. Most of us could never tell the difference until it reaches that ten year mark.
