I would suggest the Bridgestone E5. Two piece distance, but has a soft cover.

I'd 2nd Ron's opinion. Stick with Bridgestone. I just fit into an e6+ with a 111MPH avg. swing speed (driver) & the e5+ is the only truly seamless, 2piece Urethane ball on the market. If you want 3 piece control for slower swing (light compression), go with the e7+ instead -new in '08/09. That's a killer 3 pc. ball for slower swings at a very good buy! Nike's balls aren't seamless, save for the $pendy Tour series & I don't know that I believe the seamless claims as Bridgestone owns the

What clubhead speed is the "gamer" designed for? Will it spin like a Pro V1?

Thank you for your question. The Top Flite Gamer is no going to generate quite as much spin as a Tour ball but it is one of the higher spinning surlyn cover balls on the market. The compression of the Gamer is near 90 so in order to get the correct performance out of the ball you will need to have a higher than average club head speed.

When the balls have anything printed on them, they spray a film on the ball to protect the printing. The film on my balls from here, had a ridge where they sprayed the balls, and some of them got sticky also.

The talk is about club head speed; high, moderate and low. Just where does one go to determine club head speed and does this only apply to drivers?

Thank you for your inquiry. Club head speed is mainly mentioned when speaking of driving the golf ball. High club head speeds are 100 MHP+, moderate 85-99, and low would be considered below 85 MPH. Head speed will always be considered when determining shaft flex and usually ball selection. It is always great to be aware of your club head speed.

Don't worry, I'll answer your question for you. Most golf shops have equipment with which they can measure your club head speed, however they may attempt to sell you a shaft you don't need. The vast majority of people do just fine with the shaft that comes with the club.

Search for a Golfsmith or PGA Tour Superstore in your area. Golfsmith has hitting areas set up near the rear of their shops and the majority of the time no one bothers you at all. The PGA Tour Superstores usually have at least 8 perforance bays that you can try clubs out.

Jerry, the shelf life of the golf balls if stored in a climate controlled area is non existent. The balls will perform to the standards they were produced at the time. If you are playing an older golf ball you may notice differences from performance of newer balls but that is due to advances in technology not because the ball is "dead". Only storing balls out doors or in non controllable climates will you notice the balls only last around 2 years in most cases.

A golf ball takes between 100 and 1000 years to decompose. If a golf ball is not old and battered through play, it will be fine!!!

Golf balls stored in a controlled climate, (not outside in the elements, not stored in a 100 degree temperature,)will lose ONE YARD per year. That means, obviously, if you store your golf balls for ten years they will lose only ten yards of carry. Most of us could never tell the difference until it reaches that ten year mark.

Nowadays so many balls aren't classified as having a "urethane" cover but more now classified under their own brand name cover. But please be sure and review ball descriptions as many of them do have the cover named in the description.

This is a perfect question for a company that started out selling used golf balls! Really there is only one down side; the length of time the ball spent in the water. If it's one that has been in the water for months then it stands a much better chance to become "out of round" so that the performance of the golf ball is compromised. This is rare due to the fact that used golf ball retriever is a big time business and ponds/lakes have balls fished out of them

The only golf balls that you can request all the same number are the Pro V1 and the Pro V1x. The cost would be an extra $3 per dozen.
We do not break up sleeves to provide all of one type of number. We attempted this years ago and it caused more of a negative reaction when customers didn't get the normal 1-4 #'s.

It's nothing more than a simple number system developed in case golfers in the same group are using the same golf ball. This way those golfer could use different numbered golf balls and be able to identify their golf ball easily.

You may certainly request this. During checkout there is a space to add "additional comments." Please make your request there. But also please note that the being able to enlarge your personalization is based upon 1) there being a limited amount of text that you want on the ball 2) knowing that we have a limited amount of space to print on.
If you max out all three lines with text then we would have no room to grow, so to speak.

Thanks for your question. Golf Ball Manufacturer aren't required to put a compression on a golf ball and many of them don't want to be segmented by giving that information. In regards to dimple designs there are multiple dimple designs on golf balls and there is also not set number as to how many dimples a golf ball will have. It varies on every golf ball.

Storing golf balls at room temp in your house is ideal. In regards to storing golf balls in cold temperatures or hot temps for that matter, temperature will eventually have an effect on a golf ball but only after a long period of time. Moral of the story, try not to store golf balls in your trunk! I'm guilty of that one!

Thank you for your comments, and you're right it certainly does feel that way. I can't tell you how many calls or emails we receive stating that just when you get used to playing a certain ball they change it! It's enough to drive your crazy! For a golf ball manufacturer it's about doing their best to keep their product relevant and fresh. That is why their product gets tweaked every 1-2 years.
While I feel your pain I don't think there is anything we can do about it!
