Q
are the pratice balls still as good as the normal pro v1
A
Hi, thanks for the question. The practice balls are made the same as the prov 1. They may have had some sort of cosmetic blemish and were packaged as practice instead of stock. The actual performance should not be a problem. -Parker
Q
Aside from the word "practice" being printed on the ball, are any other marks (blackouts) added?
A
Not to my knowledge and/or experiences through feedback of other customers. Some of the balls are missing the "ball type" print (Pro V1x logo) but other than that the balls are in perfect playing condition.
Q
How can I tell if a golfball is manufactured in 2008, or 2001 ?
A
Titleist uses a different side stamp on each version of the Pro V. The newer versions have the A.I.M alignment aid (the two long arrows pointing in opp directions) while the older balls have a simpler marking with Pro V1-392 and short arrows. The last version to come with that stamp (or one similar) was 2005 so it is unlikely you will find too many nowadays.

Q
IS THE WORD "PRACTICE"ON THE BALL?
A
So is the word Practice on the ball?
A
some bals have the word practice on them; but i've gotten sleeves in a box that do not have the word printed on it....not one of the balls (w/or w/o) performed in any way other than what is expected by that brand...never been disappointed
A
Typically "practice" is stamped on the side of the golf ball.
Q
Would you please be so kind to clarify this confusing issue about the legality of the Pro V 1 X PRACTICE ball, the question arouses when reading your Question and answered section.
First, Golf ball e
A
Carlos, my apologies for the confusion. This issue has surely raised a few eyebrows. The USGA does approve this ball for sanctioned play as long as the practice ball has no "range stripe". Simply the text Practice is viewed as a personalization therefore is deemed legal. Here is the web address of the official USGA ruling. http://www.usga.org/RulesFAQ/rules_answer.asp?FAQidx=16&Rule=5
Q
Are the numerals on a Pro V1X golf ball always the same font or might it change. I have one sleeve of balls where the 1 has a base stroke at the bottom and another sleeve where there is no base line s
A
The newer Pro V1 and Pro V1x balls have the base stroke. The sleeve you have may be from an older version of the golf ball.
Q
is a golf ball with the word 'practice' written on it allowed to be used in a match play event
A
yes, a practice ball is a legal ball (it is manufactured within the conforming specifications of the rules of golf). It gets the Practice label usually due to a slight discloration or printing error. I have had balls where the small type on the side of the ball was missing. Otherwise, it performs exactly the same as any other Pro V.
An x-out ball is an illegal ball (the defect in the ball's manufacturing makes it "out of spec.") The defect could be in it's shape, density, or s
Q
Would any of the Titelist ProV1x PRACTICE balls be the 2009 new design?
Q
Is there any defect in the performance of the Pro Vi 1 X Practice, other than just cosmetics? Is its performance some how affected?
A
Hi, thank you for the question. There are not performance defects in the Prov1x Practice balls. Any defects on the ball will be strictly cosmetic. -Parker
Q
Are PRACTICE stamped Pro V1X's okay to use in USGA sanctioned events? Some websites say YES and some say NO. Please clarify?
Thanks.

A
Yes, the USGA rules of golf has a listing approving these golf balls for use in regulation play.
Q
I am in a junior tour(Meijer Junior Player Tour)If I want to use these in one of the tournaments am i able to??
A
Greg, you certainly may use a practice ball in any USGA tournament. According to Rule 5-1, so long as the golf ball is approved for play, regardless of any logos (including the practice stamp). This link to the USGA site provides additional details: http://www.usga.org/RulesFAQ/rules_answer.asp?FAQidx=16&Rule=5
A
Thanks for the post Jason. This ruling is a very commonly asked question.
Q
Looking for Pro V1x - 332 balls only. I think they are '07 or '08 models. Do you carry them?
A
I'm sorry but we no longer have the 07/08 Pro V1x.
Johnny
Q
Are the Pro V1 & Pro V1X practice balls the new 2009 Pro V's?
A
Thank you for your question.
Yes, they are. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Q
The talk is about club head speed; high, moderate and low. Just where does one go to determine club head speed and does this only apply to drivers?
A
Thank you for your inquiry. Club head speed is mainly mentioned when speaking of driving the golf ball. High club head speeds are 100 MHP+, moderate 85-99, and low would be considered below 85 MPH. Head speed will always be considered when determining shaft flex and usually ball selection. It is always great to be aware of your club head speed.
A
Don't worry, I'll answer your question for you. Most golf shops have equipment with which they can measure your club head speed, however they may attempt to sell you a shaft you don't need. The vast majority of people do just fine with the shaft that comes with the club.
A
Search for a Golfsmith or PGA Tour Superstore in your area. Golfsmith has hitting areas set up near the rear of their shops and the majority of the time no one bothers you at all. The PGA Tour Superstores usually have at least 8 perforance bays that you can try clubs out.
Q
My company bought several doz. balls, they were kept in the store room. How long will these balls last? are they still good? its been around 8yrs. the company closed and I recieved several doz.
A
Jerry, the shelf life of the golf balls if stored in a climate controlled area is non existent. The balls will perform to the standards they were produced at the time. If you are playing an older golf ball you may notice differences from performance of newer balls but that is due to advances in technology not because the ball is "dead". Only storing balls out doors or in non controllable climates will you notice the balls only last around 2 years in most cases.
Q
Is ID-Align aligned along 1) the center of balance, 2) the seam of two part cover, or 3) just a few dots on either side of initials?
A
Thank you for your question. The IDAlign service is centered in accordance to the logo of the manufacturer, in many cases the balls we print on are seamless. The are 6 different Golfballs.com ID-Align selections to choose from including arrows, lines, dots, or stars. For additional inquiries, please contact us at 1-800-372-2557. Thanks, Andy
A
Golf balls stored in a controlled climate, (not outside in the elements, not stored in a 100 degree temperature,)will lose ONE YARD per year. That means, obviously, if you store your golf balls for ten years they will lose only ten yards of carry. Most of us could never tell the difference until it reaches that ten year mark.
Q
Why don't more ball manuf. indicate if the covering is urathane, I am looking for some by I never know what I'm buying, they don't seem to be bothered listing Surlyn covering? Can you tell me how I ca
A
Excellent question.
Nowadays so many balls aren't classified as having a "urethane" cover but more now classified under their own brand name cover. But please be sure and review ball descriptions as many of them do have the cover named in the description.
Thanks,
Johnny
A
The Bridgestone E6+ has a urethane cover. Check it out.
Q
What does overrun mean? Is the ball still new and true? thank you
A
Thank you for your question.
A Logo Overrun is a New golf ball that has a company logo or personalization on it already. Logo Overruns have some of the best deals that you can find on golf balls period.
Please let me know if I may be of any other assistance.

Q
What is the downside of using balls fished out of water? Can an otherwise perfect ball become water-logged?
A
Thank you for your question.
This is a perfect question for a company that started out selling used golf balls! Really there is only one down side; the length of time the ball spent in the water. If it's one that has been in the water for months then it stands a much better chance to become "out of round" so that the performance of the golf ball is compromised. This is rare due to the fact that used golf ball retriever is a big time business and ponds/lakes have balls fished out of them
Q
I'm new to golfing and was recommended to buy Wilson Ultra Ultimate Distance Golf Balls (pack of 15). Great balls but each pack of three balls has a different number on it: 1,2,3,4 and 5. What does th
A
Thank you for your question.
It's nothing more than a simple number system developed in case golfers in the same group are using the same golf ball. This way those golfer could use different numbered golf balls and be able to identify their golf ball easily.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Johnny
Q
What is a moderate swingspeed? My driver speed is around 100, 95 to 104 is this moderate, slow or what?
A
Mike, thank you for your inquiry. Moderate club head speeds are closer to the 85-90 MPH speed zone. Anything 100+ would be considered high. Thanks. Andy
Q
In this new age of high-tech golf balls, how long can they be stored in climate controlled environment and still be 100% effective? Thanks Eddy
A
Thank you for your question Eddy.
If you store golf balls in a climate controlled environment there really is an unlimited shelf life. At least this is what I'm told after speaking with a few major brands who make golf balls.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you,
Johnny
Q
Can I get 4 intials on the ID align?
Thanks,
Nick
A
Nick,
Thanks for your question. Right now we can not pull that one off. Our machine is specifically set up for 3 or less. Anything more falls outside of our printing parameter and you wouldn't see the whole line.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Johnny
Q
Can I have a personalization done on more than one side?
A
Thank you for your question.
This is not a problem at all. The charge for what's called a "two-pole" print would be an extra $5 on top of the personalized ball price. You would need to call us to place this order as this would be a custom order. You may reach us at 1-800-372-2557.

Q
If I buy two Bridgestone Treo Soft and get $6.00 shipping it comes to $44. on logo overruns. I can buy new ones @ $21.95 so how am I saving?
A
Mr. Mazzone,
Thank you for your question.
Where is the value? 1) Not spending the gas to go to the store to purchase golf balls 2) You are not charged sales tax on your order which to purchase locally would push you over the $44 threshold. 3) Convenience - 24 hour shopping
I hope you would view these as a few reasons to consider purchasing online vs. purchasing at a retail store.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or if I may be of any other service.
Sincerely,
Q
Am I able to purchase 4 dozen of balls, each with a differant personalization?
A
Absolutely,
You will need to add the Pro V1 - Personalized four different times on your order to be able to personalize each dozen individually.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Johnny
Q
Can the font size used be larger? I was disappointed it was so small the last time I ordered.
A
Thank you for your question.
You may certainly request this. During checkout there is a space to add "additional comments." Please make your request there. But also please note that the being able to enlarge your personalization is based upon 1) there being a limited amount of text that you want on the ball 2) knowing that we have a limited amount of space to print on.
If you max out all three lines with text then we would have no room to grow, so to speak.
I hope this helps and pleas
Q
1.Why don't ball manufacturer's put the compression of the ball on the box.?
2. How many dimples designs are there on golf balls.?
Thank you.
Jim.
A
Jim,
Thanks for your question. Golf Ball Manufacturer aren't required to put a compression on a golf ball and many of them don't want to be segmented by giving that information. In regards to dimple designs there are multiple dimple designs on golf balls and there is also not set number as to how many dimples a golf ball will have. It varies on every golf ball.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Q
How would you store golf balls is it ok to store them at room temp in your house. And can beening in the cool hurt them
A
Thank you for your question.
Storing golf balls at room temp in your house is ideal. In regards to storing golf balls in cold temperatures or hot temps for that matter, temperature will eventually have an effect on a golf ball but only after a long period of time. Moral of the story, try not to store golf balls in your trunk! I'm guilty of that one!
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Play Well,
Johnny
Q
It seems every year the ball manufacturers play around with ball specs. During the past year I've had success with the Top Flight Gamer as a ball with playability comparable to the Pro V1 & V1x a
A
Thank you for your comments, and you're right it certainly does feel that way. I can't tell you how many calls or emails we receive stating that just when you get used to playing a certain ball they change it! It's enough to drive your crazy! For a golf ball manufacturer it's about doing their best to keep their product relevant and fresh. That is why their product gets tweaked every 1-2 years.
While I feel your pain I don't think there is anything we can do about it!
Please let me kno
