Great ball! 6/24/2006
Handicap 20-30
I'm a golf newbie, in the middle of that "rapidly improving, but still make dumb mistakes" stage. I've used a lot of different balls (bought or received as gifts), trying to figure out if--at this stage--I can feel any difference between brands and models": Titleist DT SoLo, NXT, Pro V1; Precept Laddie; Maxfli Revolution; Callaway HX Hot, HX Tour; etc. I received the previously mentioned 2-ball sleeve @ Golfsmith when I signed up for something, and they sat in my bag. I was out today and reached in an decided to try them. I'm sold! I know high handicappers like me aren't really supposed to benefit from 3-piece balls, but I could tell the difference with these. I was loving the feel off of all of my clubs, the ball flight, the feel around the green AND the durability of the cover. I'm definitely going to pick up a couple dozen more.

My new favorite ball 6/18/2006
Handicap 10 - 15
OK, I'm an intermeidate golfer and received 2 of these balls free at the store while I was stocking up on my normal cheaper balls. This is my new favorite ball (previously pro v1). Feel great all around, grip good with short irons, good distance. Love 'em. Since I lose 2-6 balls per round, I like the fact their cheaper than pro v1's also.

Great New Ball 10/14/2005
Handicap 6 - 10
I recieved a sleeve of these balls at a tournament and I'm glad I did. I went out and bout 2 dozen soon after. This soft 3-piece ball has a great feel and workability and the launch of my Fusion driver is very long. Soft around the greens too. Nice price for an A+++++ ball.

The Tour Deep Is a Great Ball 8/14/2005
Handicap 10 - 15
This ball has it all - tremendous feel, explosive distance off woods and drivers, and good spin. It for sure feels good off the putter face and rolls true. I can't think of much more I want out of a ball. This is now my favorite ball on the market by a good margin. I've played many of the popular brands like Pro V1's, Bridgestone, Srixon, etc. The Tour deep has them all beat - at least coming off my clubs.

The talk is about club head speed; high, moderate and low. Just where does one go to determine club head speed and does this only apply to drivers?

Thank you for your inquiry. Club head speed is mainly mentioned when speaking of driving the golf ball. High club head speeds are 100 MHP+, moderate 85-99, and low would be considered below 85 MPH. Head speed will always be considered when determining shaft flex and usually ball selection. It is always great to be aware of your club head speed.

Jerry, the shelf life of the golf balls if stored in a climate controlled area is non existent. The balls will perform to the standards they were produced at the time. If you are playing an older golf ball you may notice differences from performance of newer balls but that is due to advances in technology not because the ball is "dead". Only storing balls out doors or in non controllable climates will you notice the balls only last around 2 years in most cases.

A golf ball takes between 100 and 1000 years to decompose. If a golf ball is not old and battered through play, it will be fine!!! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthnews/6540852/Golf-balls-take-1000-years-to-decompose.html

Is ID-Align aligned along 1) the center of balance, 2) the seam of two part cover, or 3) just a few dots on either side of initials?
A
05/04/2009 3:09 PMGolfballs.com Employee: Andy
Thank you for your question. The IDAlign service is centered in accordance to the logo of the manufacturer, in many cases the balls we print on are seamless. The are 6 different Golfballs.com ID-Align selections to choose from including arrows, lines, dots, or stars. For additional inquiries, please contact us at 1-800-372-2557. Thanks, Andy

Golf balls stored in a controlled climate, (not outside in the elements, not stored in a 100 degree temperature,)will lose ONE YARD per year. That means, obviously, if you store your golf balls for ten years they will lose only ten yards of carry. Most of us could never tell the difference until it reaches that ten year mark.
