Great Balls of Fire.. 8/22/2006
Handicap 0 - 5
This is an excellent ball ,better in my mind than Prov1.It is Long and Spin nicely.Too bad Taylor Made is not going to continue to produce this ball. Also it is clearance for $24.99 in my market so I won't buy more here until the price drops.

Black Max 3/21/2006
Handicap 10 - 15
A premium ball comparable to the ProV1 and HX Tour. As long as any ball I've played, good spin off irons. Will check up around the greensBest Maxfli ball since the A10.

Blackmax 2/1/2006
Handicap 20-30
I was gifted a box of Blackmax balls and it took off 2 strokes from my handicap. The ball goes straighter and longer than ProV's and is amazingly soft on the green. The sound of the put itself is music to my ears. The outer shell does not crack quickly and the ball just lasts and lasts. Worth the $40 investment.

Great Feel!! 1/16/2006
Handicap 20-30
I am not one to spend a lot on balls. I clicked on a link that brought me to the Maxfli site. After listen to the hype on the site, I thought I would try them. This ball has very nice feel off long and mid irons and great spin off the short irons and wedges. Length of the driver was similar to the Dunlop Super Loco, the ball that I had been using. The Locos covers have been splitting on me lately.Because the spin is more consistent and the cover tougher this is my new ball. Worth the extra bucks.

Excellent Ball 1/6/2006
Handicap 0 - 5
Longer than Pro V 1 with great control. My favorite ball on the market. If you are looking for a Tour Caliber ball, you should try this one.

The talk is about club head speed; high, moderate and low. Just where does one go to determine club head speed and does this only apply to drivers?
A

Thank you for your inquiry. Club head speed is mainly mentioned when speaking of driving the golf ball. High club head speeds are 100 MHP+, moderate 85-99, and low would be considered below 85 MPH. Head speed will always be considered when determining shaft flex and usually ball selection. It is always great to be aware of your club head speed.

Jerry, the shelf life of the golf balls if stored in a climate controlled area is non existent. The balls will perform to the standards they were produced at the time. If you are playing an older golf ball you may notice differences from performance of newer balls but that is due to advances in technology not because the ball is "dead". Only storing balls out doors or in non controllable climates will you notice the balls only last around 2 years in most cases.

A golf ball takes between 100 and 1000 years to decompose. If a golf ball is not old and battered through play, it will be fine!!! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthnews/6540852/Golf-balls-take-1000-years-to-decompose.html

Is ID-Align aligned along 1) the center of balance, 2) the seam of two part cover, or 3) just a few dots on either side of initials?
A
05/04/2009 3:09 PMGolfballs.com Employee: Andy
Thank you for your question. The IDAlign service is centered in accordance to the logo of the manufacturer, in many cases the balls we print on are seamless. The are 6 different Golfballs.com ID-Align selections to choose from including arrows, lines, dots, or stars. For additional inquiries, please contact us at 1-800-372-2557. Thanks, Andy

Golf balls stored in a controlled climate, (not outside in the elements, not stored in a 100 degree temperature,)will lose ONE YARD per year. That means, obviously, if you store your golf balls for ten years they will lose only ten yards of carry. Most of us could never tell the difference until it reaches that ten year mark.
