Product Description

The Pinnacle Exception golf ball is designed to deliver exceptionally long distance and exceptionally soft feel, with enhanced spin and control around the green. The Pinnacle Exception defies the conventional thinking that a golf ball has to feel hard if it is going to provide superior distance. The Exception also dispels the myth that a distance ball can't perform well in all aspects of the short game. Break away from the pack and find out exactly how the Exception is becoming the rule.

  • Exceptionally soft feel on all shots
  • Soft polybutadiene core & Soft Surlyn® cover blend
  • Logo Overruns may have multiple versions from different years mixed in one dozen

Exception vs NXT 10/31/2007
Handicap 10 - 15
I have bought and played both Exception and NXTs and found a very little difference between the two. I feel the Pinnacle Exception is one the better products produced by Pinnacle. The new Pinnacle ball recently marketed leave something to be desired.

Overall Consistant 8/26/2007
Handicap 0 - 5
I have played this ball for the past few years. This ball seems to be more consistant in distance and feel from 50 to 95 degrees than any other ball I have tried.Even in putting I am able to zero in on distance control better thanwith other balls. Not too mushy, not like concrete either and the decrease in my handicap proves it. You do not have to pay an arm and aleg for agood ball.

Pinnacle 8/17/2007
Handicap 10 - 15
Even dough I think the Callaway Xhot is the best ball around. (Price, distance, feel) everytime I use a Pinnacle ball it shocks me how good these balls are, maybe it's because I don't expect anything from a Pinnacle ball, but i'd give it thumbs up.

Best ball I have found in a long time 6/25/2007
Handicap 20-30
This ball feels and performs fantastic. It feels good off the irons and has surprised me with the distance I've gotten. I have finally found the ball for my game!

playability 10/17/2006
Handicap 10 - 15
Have played several other so called high energy golfballs this summmer. Can say that the "Exception" out performed the others in both distance and feel around the greens. The putting was comparable and in some cases better.

The talk is about club head speed; high, moderate and low. Just where does one go to determine club head speed and does this only apply to drivers?

Thank you for your inquiry. Club head speed is mainly mentioned when speaking of driving the golf ball. High club head speeds are 100 MHP+, moderate 85-99, and low would be considered below 85 MPH. Head speed will always be considered when determining shaft flex and usually ball selection. It is always great to be aware of your club head speed.

Don't worry, I'll answer your question for you. Most golf shops have equipment with which they can measure your club head speed, however they may attempt to sell you a shaft you don't need. The vast majority of people do just fine with the shaft that comes with the club.

Search for a Golfsmith or PGA Tour Superstore in your area. Golfsmith has hitting areas set up near the rear of their shops and the majority of the time no one bothers you at all. The PGA Tour Superstores usually have at least 8 perforance bays that you can try clubs out.

Jerry, the shelf life of the golf balls if stored in a climate controlled area is non existent. The balls will perform to the standards they were produced at the time. If you are playing an older golf ball you may notice differences from performance of newer balls but that is due to advances in technology not because the ball is "dead". Only storing balls out doors or in non controllable climates will you notice the balls only last around 2 years in most cases.

Is ID-Align aligned along 1) the center of balance, 2) the seam of two part cover, or 3) just a few dots on either side of initials?
A
05/04/2009 3:09 PMGolfballs.com Employee: Andy
Thank you for your question. The IDAlign service is centered in accordance to the logo of the manufacturer, in many cases the balls we print on are seamless. The are 6 different Golfballs.com ID-Align selections to choose from including arrows, lines, dots, or stars. For additional inquiries, please contact us at 1-800-372-2557. Thanks, Andy

Golf balls stored in a controlled climate, (not outside in the elements, not stored in a 100 degree temperature,)will lose ONE YARD per year. That means, obviously, if you store your golf balls for ten years they will lose only ten yards of carry. Most of us could never tell the difference until it reaches that ten year mark.
