I have been playing these balls for years and they keep getting better. Good ball for high to modeate handicap players. Best played in warm weather then cold. Good luck.

Does temperature affect a golf ball's performance characteristic? I was wondering if I can expect the same performance at 30F degree, versus 90F temperatures. Currently playing with Callaway HX HOT Pl

Yes, the rubber core of the ball will be affected by the air pressure, temperature, humidity and altitude. The rubber will be "looser" in warmer temp vs cold and in thinner air you will notice less drag such as in higher altitudes. Studies show temperatures starting at 41 degrees fahrenheit the driver distance was 244 yards vs 262 yards with the same swing in a 95 degree heat.

The talk is about club head speed; high, moderate and low. Just where does one go to determine club head speed and does this only apply to drivers?
A

Thank you for your inquiry. Club head speed is mainly mentioned when speaking of driving the golf ball. High club head speeds are 100 MHP+, moderate 85-99, and low would be considered below 85 MPH. Head speed will always be considered when determining shaft flex and usually ball selection. It is always great to be aware of your club head speed.
