PING G15 Iron Set
This item has been discontinued.
Manufacturer Description
The PING G15 Iron Set features a new Custom Tuning Port which expands perimeter weighting and increases the moment of inertia (MOI). The thinner face of the G15 Iron helps position the weight to the toe for added forgiveness. Also, the wider sole on this iron provides a higher launch angle for increased carry. The strong lofts and a low center of gravity produce long shots with a high trajectory and maximum forgiveness. These Ping G15 irons are ideal for all golfers, no matter what handicap, looking for increased forgiveness and distance with a set of irons.

The PING G15 irons are very forgiving and have an extremely good feeling off of the face. They are a great upgrade from the previous G10 set. I can't say enough about how good these irons feel, and they certainly will not disappoint.

I own a set of G 10's (blue dot) but wanted to move up to the G-15's or the Calloway X-22's. I play once or twice a week and have just gotten back into the game about two years ago. My game has really picked up since I bought the pings but wanted to advance futher. Would buying the G-15's or the X-22's better my game (More forgiving but better distance?) Any help would be appreciated.

What would be the comparison between the color coded dots? What do I look for? What is the differnce?

The different color dots and different lie angles (Bent flat or upright). One would figure out their "color" by getting fitted for a set. Check with your local pro shop or golf store to see what color best fits you. Thanks!

I'm 5'9", 33" wrist to floor. I interpret the Ping color guide for me to be red dot for the G15. Am I correct? What about the G10?

It depends on a few different circumstances but most likely you would be .75 degrees flat or RED dot.

I'm 5'-6", and I measure 33 inches from floor to wrist. What lie angle do you think would be best in the G15's?

According to the Ping color guide you should find the most success in the red dot series which is .75 degrees flat.

I keep reading about length of shaft, measuring wrist to floor, I am short, so what does this measurement tell me and how do I apply it to shaft length

Thank you for your question in regard to shaft lengths. The measurement from wrist to floor will determine which length you will need your shaft set at. Typically, shorter golfer will need their irons/woods cut down in order to maximize proper impact. Please determine the length of your arm from wrist to floor from a standing upright position with your arms at your side and I can determine the optimal length for you.

Also your wrist to floor measurement will determine what lie angle you need. I'm 5'3" and I needed my clubs flattened 3 degrees from standard! Look into it!

Yes there are many things to be taken into consideration but the easiest way is to go to a golf shop and many will fit you properly to what you need as far as lie angle and length.

Thank you for your inquiry. Typically guys your height will need added length to the shaft with an upright lie angle. Your arm length from wrist to floor will give a better idea as to how much additional length is needed. The majority of golfers in your height range would benefit from a 1/2" extended shaft and a 2 degree upright lie angle. The custom iron set will definately improve your ball striking ability and your consistency in your iron play. Please give us a call if you have further quest
