I opted to NOT get the hybrids and just get a 4 iron from them...I have a 3 TM burner hybrid and love it and like to have a 4 iron in my bag. With that being said I got the irons stiff shaft +1/2, and absolutely love them! The 5 iron is a little funky, because of the gapping of the hybrid to irons they made the 5 iron a little bit of both...longer then my old 5 iron, but it does not have any feel like the lower irons do. With all of that being said I would say if you are in the same handicap range as me

Hit these in the store for 2 hours day they came out...not a bad comment from me on performance...very nice...I'm a RH right to left player, since these clubs have very little offset they matched my swing...the irons add 5-10 yards and were very forgiving...hybrids launch ball like a missile...I could swing as hard as possible and not produce a mishit...Aesthetically they could be prettier, but that doesn't lower scores!

Being a 9 handicap and looking to get lower, would this set fit my game? Looking to control my ball flight when needed.Played x18's this season and nothing but high and straight shots. Thanks

The A7 series is a very good iron set. It will still promote a mid-high ball flight similar to that of your currenty X-18s but you will notice added forgiveness vs your current set. Dont forget the 3&4 hybrids to help with the long game either. This set is a great buy.

Thank you for your question, the set is equipped with the 3 & 4 A7 hybrid so only 6 irons will need to be built with the shaft. Adams offers Rifle shafts at $25 per club bringing the total up-charge to $150 for this set totaling $649.95. For ordering questions, please contact me at 1-800-372-2557. Thanks.

I think the Rifles are no additional charge. The Project X is $25 extra per club according to the Adams website.

I keep reading about length of shaft, measuring wrist to floor, I am short, so what does this measurement tell me and how do I apply it to shaft length

Thank you for your question in regard to shaft lengths. The measurement from wrist to floor will determine which length you will need your shaft set at. Typically, shorter golfer will need their irons/woods cut down in order to maximize proper impact. Please determine the length of your arm from wrist to floor from a standing upright position with your arms at your side and I can determine the optimal length for you.

Also your wrist to floor measurement will determine what lie angle you need. I'm 5'3" and I needed my clubs flattened 3 degrees from standard! Look into it!

I am a average golfer looking for new clubs...current set had extra inch added to shaft length, but not sure I needed it. I am 6'2"...would a custom club fitting be recommended or would std shaf

Thank you for your inquiry. Typically guys your height will need added length to the shaft with an upright lie angle. Your arm length from wrist to floor will give a better idea as to how much additional length is needed. The majority of golfers in your height range would benefit from a 1/2" extended shaft and a 2 degree upright lie angle. The custom iron set will definately improve your ball striking ability and your consistency in your iron play. Please give us a call if you have further quest
