TaylorMade R11S TP Fairway Wood Overview

The new R11S TP Fairway Wood improves on the unparalled adjustability that was established in original R11 fairway woods. R11S TP Fairways combine Flight Control Technology (FCT) with Adjustable Sole Plate Technology (ASP) in a super high-performance steel fairway wood. The combination of FCT and ASP gives you 24 different ways to set up the R11S TP Fairway Wood.

Flight Control Technology for a Wider Range of Adjustable Loft

With the TaylorMade R11S TP Fairway Wood, Flight Control Technology allows you to adjust the loft of the club by as much as 1.5 degrees, giving you greater control over your spin-rate and launch angle. This is a .5 degree increase over the original TaylorMade R11 fairway wood.

Adjustable Sole Plate for Adjustable Face Angle

Adjustable Sole Plate Technology in the R11S TP Fairway Wood gives you control over adjusting the face angle into one of three settings - square, open 2-degrees or closed 2-degrees - all without affecting the loft angle. Only TaylorMade metalwoods with both FCT and ASP allow you to adjust the loft and face angle independently of each other. This flexibility ultimately allows to you better control the direction of your golf shots.

Clubhead Size, Shape and Appearance

TaylorMade R11S TP Fairway clubheads are classically shaped to suit the more advanced player's eye, while still providing necessary forgiveness for the average player. When looking at the club's address, the head is slightly triangular in shape to increase the moment of inertia (MOI) while still positining the center of gravity (CG) toward the back, when compared to the classic pear-shaped address shape.

Forward Center of Gravity Location for High Launch and Low Spin

R11S TP Fairways use pull-face construction to create a thin, fast clubface that promotes hight ball speed. The walls and crown of the club are made using TaylorMade's proprietary Ultra-Thin Wall (UTW) casting process that reaches 0.6mm at their its thinnest point. What this does is allow that extra weight to be move the center of gravity position forward. This forward location works to increase ball speed by reducing overall dynamic loft and ultimately creates better launch conditions.

White Crown, Black PVD Clubface for Easy Alignment

The white crown color of the R11S TP Fairway Wood provides optimum contrast against the turf to make the R11S TP easier to aim. This unique advantage is even more apparent in lower light, such as a shaded tee box or overcast days. The crown color also works to eliminate "hot spots" that frequently occur when addressing a gloss-finished metalwood.

Increased Face Depth Inspires Confidence and Improves Playability

The face depth of the TaylorMade R11S TP Fairway Wood is 36mm, which provides the optimum combination of confidence, face area and playibility off turf. TaylorMade was able to increase the face-depth while also maintaining FCT and ASP and achieving satisfactory sound - major engineering accomplishment.

Shaft Performance

The R11S TP Fairway Wood is equipped with an Aldila RIP Phenom 80-gram TP shaft, with 25 other custom shaft options available. If you are looking for less options, the standard TaylorMade R11S Fairway Wood is also avilable, which features an Aldila RIP Phenom 70-gram shaft.
