I purchased this club about (3) months ago when my driver broke on a drive on a Par (5). When the Polaris Driver arrived the appearance of the club was great, the comparison with my previous driver was less then what I thought. It just doesn't have the pop as my previous driver had. The reason I purchased this driver was the fact that I am currrently in Kuwait and the quality of the course is well, sub-standard and I wanted something cheap but did the job. This "in my opinion" isn't doing the job as I hit my 3-wood further than this driver. All in all, this driver is for the beginner golf player.Jay (Kuwait)

Frequently asked questions about

Is getting a more expensive brand name club worth it compared to less known club?

Hi, thanks for the question. The more expensive, well-known brands will have better technology in their products. The biggest part of choosing a club is finding something that is comfortable to you, so the top brands may not always be the best options. -PArker

Over all do you think that if the average person was to hit unmarked clubs that we could profess to do better. Does the brand name itself create better scores

The answer is yes. The reason? The materials used. There are brands that have "off" models sold in "Big Box" stores such as Wal-Mart etc that also make stock equipment that you can purchase in golf specialty stores like Golfballs.com that we have done rigorous testing on. On the launch monitor my personal best with the off brand was nearly 20 yards shy of the main brand. I cannot disclose what manufacturer offered the product but I assure you there is a difference.

Hello, I understand most drivers come in a 10.5 and 9.5 degree loft. I use a 10.5. When teeing off, my ball usually has a lot of loft and goes really high in the air, should I switch to a 9.5 degree

Thank you for your question. Is it worth testing out? Absolutely. Will the 9.5 give you a more penetrating ball flight is the question. Most golfers would kill to have more hang time but I know how you feel. I was in the same boat at one time and tested different lofts much like you. I ended up staying with the higher loft though. I would test it prior to officially making a move. Play Well, Johnny

In general, the 9.5 degree will tend to give a lower ball flight. However, the shaft also contributes to launch angle. Find a Golf shop that has a simulator that can measure your swing path, launch angle, club-head speed, ball speed, spin and distance. With this information, your Pro can tell you if you need a different club, or just a new shaft.
