Product Description

How do you improve on the original all titanium Nike SasQuatch driver that won Golf Digest Editor's Choice in 2006? It was a challenge, but Nike engineers figured out how to give the new Nike SasQuatch SUMO SQ driver a higher Moment of Inertia (MOI) and a lower center of gravity. Using new Nike PowerBow geometry, the Nike SasQuatch SUMO SQ driver has a higher MOI of 4950g cm² vs. 4650 g cm² in the original Nike SasQuatch driver. Therefore, the Nike SasQuatch SUMO SQ driver delivers even more distance and forgiveness. - SUper MOment of Inertia (SUMO): Higher MOI than the original Nike SasQuatch driver at 4950 g cm² vs. original at 4650 g cm² for greater forgiveness and increased distance. - New Nike PowerBow design: Larger and lower Nike PowerBow moves CG lower and further back and increases MOI over the original Nike SasQuatch driver. - Max Back CG: Nike SasQuatch SUMO's larger and lower Nike PowerBow geometry moves the CG further back and lower than the original Nike SasQuatch driver.

  • Available with a high performance Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana shaft that is blended for power and stability

Never Have I ever...
There are no words to describe the feeling of ecstasy listening the ball explode off the head of my driver. The distance is unbelieving and the accuracy is within yards. I have been golfing since a very young age and have always dreamed of smacking that "perfect drive". With the Nike Sumo, I have achieved my goal and crushed the ball over 370 yards right down the pipe. The nike sponsorship I hope to be recieving will boost my already flawless abililty and allow me to finally beat my friends Mike, Nathan, Gr

Not bad for an Upgrade.
This Driver is made for golfers who want to hit straight, make your target, and give you a reasonable distance. I demo this club and compare it to my orignal Nike Sasquatch... And I have to say I'm very impress.

Pretty Impressive!
The SUMO is longer, straighter, and more forgiving than most. The larger volume head inspires confidence at address and it really has a solid feel through impact. I was very impressed with the consistency of this club on the range and on the course. I would encourage anyone looking to hit more fairways without sacrificing distance to try the SUMO. Nike has a winner with this club.

Nike Sumo MOI = YES
I played my first 18 holes with the Sumo (not the square version) today and hit 12 of 14 fairways. The other 2 drives were off the fairway less than 5 yards. The Nike Sumo has a very solid sound at impact. Distance is similar (not longer) than my Ping G2, however, later in the round I started swinging harder and gained some extra distance without loss of direction. Nearly every drive seems to be hitting the sweet spot.I bought the Sumo at the Nike Demo day here at Van's in Tucson on February 3. For me, the Sumo 2 had a higher launch spin and sidespin. So far, I am happy with the performance of the Nike Sumo.
