Freakish Feel and Distance...surprise!
9/19/2009
This ball is purely amazing for the price. Goes straight, far and has great feel on the dance floor when putting. I didn't get a lot of backspin either, but this ball is more of a drop and stop kind of ball anyway. I never expected this kind of performance from Top Flite, their older distance balls were always rocks, but the Freak definitely has a softer feel to it.

Great distance and feel!

I agree that these balls are very long and straight. I love them off the tee and off long irons/hybrids. Have nice feel for a distance ball. Only drawback for me is the lack of spin off wedges and on chip shots. I played nine holes with the same ball and it looks brand new. I would definitely recommend these. Great value for the price.

Impressive

For the first few holes I did not see much of a difference in distance compared to the Pinnacle Hot Shots I have been using for the last couple of months. What I did notice right from the beginning was better consistency while putting. There is not much in the way of spin on the short game, for the drives it spins fine. The balls did fly in a straighter line. The ball stops quickly, not much rolling after dropping on the green. I gave them a four because they are not entirely workable, but they are a great

UNREAL-LONG!

I had know idea that I could hit a golf ball that long at my age. I'm 69 years of age and my drives are as long or longer then the young guns we play with..I was introduced to the Freak at the end of last year..I will not play another ball unless the Freak can be improved which I doubt because the Freak it's in a league of it's own!.If you love golf you have to try them!...<>Jonjr<>

Frequently asked questions about

Bought a box of Freak balls just before you stopped producing them. 1) Why did you stop making them? I currently use the D2+ balls, just not the same. With the Freaks, had numerous shots over 300

I have a slow swing speed and ball speed. I am looking for max distance off the tee but I want the ball to stop on the green as well. Which ball would be best for me? The Freak, D2 or XL5000? I am

Hi, thanks for the question. The D2 has the lowest compression of the three. This will allow you to compress the ball with a slower swing speed. I believe you will find it to your liking. -PArker

I like hitting the Freak and think it is great but was wondering if I should use something else. Being a female I want to know what the best ball is for me. I normally drive the ball between 150 to 17

Thank you for your question. The best lady ball available in my opinion is the Srixon Soft Feel for Ladies. Compression ratings on that ball will make it easier for you to keep your driver distance to a maximum.
