Technical Data

Swing Speed
Swing speed is a measure of velocity, in miles per hour, of how fast the club head of a golf club is traveling at the point it makes impact with the golf ball. Swing speed can be recorded by a launch monitor or other electronic radar devices.

Handicap
Balls designed for higher handicap golfers generally have harder covers that result in lower spin rates with irons and drivers. Balls designed for low handicap golfers tend to offer your more control and spin.

Feel (Compression)
Feel is a term that considers the firmness or compression of the golf ball. Typically the softer the golf ball feels, the lower the compression rating. A general rule of thumb about golf ball compression is that players with a lower swing speed should use a lower compression ball to take advantage of the added spring affect.

9 Iron Spin
9 iron spin is regarding the backward rotation of the golf ball in flight or the measured rate of that rotation. Most golfers think of backspin more in relation to shorter irons and wedges. Backspin is what causes some wedge shots to "back up" on the green, or roll backwards after hitting the green.

Great ball for ladies
2/13/2010
The Taylor Made Noodle + Lady ball is great for ladies. The ball is built around a soft Live-Action Core that's engineered to compress easily at moderate swing speeds. Increased compression upon contact means that the Noodle Lady will literally spring off the club face at a faster rate compared to harder composition golf balls adding to both height and speed and consequently overall distance.

Color and Tradition

I like the Noodle as well, and wish to play with a bright colored ball so I can spot it quickly when playing with a group. I respect tradition, but remember, Wimbledon now allows a colored ball!

I love to play with Noodles. But why did they stop making them in colors?

The price on the personalization is 5.00 additional to the cost of the golf balls. This dozen would be 19.95 with the personalization.

The ball that will best resemble the previous noodle will be the Bridgestone Treosoft.

I have a slow swing speed compared to many golfers, approx 94mph. Would a lower compression golf ball, say 60 compression, be better matched to my slow speed vs a harder ball, say 90 compression or h

hi, thanks for the question. This is exactly right. A lower compression golf ball will not require a high swing speed to be compressed and perform as it was designed. The harder golf balls are meant for faster swing speeds. -Parker
