Feel (Compression)
Feel is a term that considers the firmness or compression of the golf ball. Typically the softer the golf ball feels, the lower the compression rating. A general rule of thumb about golf ball compression is that players with a lower swing speed should use a lower compression ball to take advantage of the added spring affect.

9 Iron Spin
9 iron spin is regarding the backward rotation of the golf ball in flight or the measured rate of that rotation. Most golfers think of backspin more in relation to shorter irons and wedges. Backspin is what causes some wedge shots to "back up" on the green, or roll backwards after hitting the green.

I bought 3 dozen Srixon Z Star balls, to take advantage of the free shipping..Little did I know, that I had purchased a new secret weapon!! What a great feeling ball!! Last year(at age 75) I moved to our Senior Tees, to try to regain some of the fun in golf, lost to radiation from Cancer. Last Tuesday, I shot my age!! The Z Star ball, and the extra yards I gained in distance, made the difference!!

I have been a Calaway HX tour player for a while and loved how they played. I stike the ball OK and have a 90-92mph swing speed on my driver. (12degree ping rapture) I bought the yellow srixon z-star ball so I could see it better as I hate looking for golf balls. Off the driver the srixon is longer and flies a little lower. It has a bit more roll out as well. I get about 5-10 yards more with the srixon. 220-230 for HX 230-240 with srixon. I track my shots with an onpargps and this if from 18 with

I bought the Srixon Z-Star and the Bridgestone Tour B330, and took both balls to test on a tough course. Having never tried either brand, my plan was to try each for 9 holes, but I didn't like the Bridgestone ball after the first two holes, so I pulled out the Srixon ball. I didn't have high hopes, based on hitting Srixon balls at driving ranges. I was pleasantly surprised with the Z-Star ball. It was longer than I expected, but not as long as some others I've played. It was solid on approach and solid
