Technical Data

Swing Speed

Handicap
Balls designed for higher handicap golfers generally have harder covers that result in lower spin rates with irons and drivers. Balls designed for low handicap golfers tend to offer your more control and spin.

Feel (Compression)
Feel is a term that considers the firmness or compression of the golf ball. Typically the softer the golf ball feels, the lower the compression rating. A general rule of thumb about golf ball compression is that players with a lower swing speed should use a lower compression ball to take advantage of the added spring affect.

9 Iron Spin
9 iron spin is regarding the backward rotation of the golf ball in flight or the measured rate of that rotation. Most golfers think of backspin more in relation to shorter irons and wedges. Backspin is what causes some wedge shots to "back up" on the green, or roll backwards after hitting the green.

Nice ball
4/15/2012
I'm not a good golfer by any means, but some balls just feel better to me and this is one of them. Last week I went to the course and picked up a sleeve of these (because of the nice low price) and was shocked at how nice this ball felt off of my club. I got very good distance with it and the balls cover still looked good after playing 9 holes. I seem to find that a lot of balls look worn quickly. I recommened this to anyone looking for a good, inexpensive golf ball

I've played golf for 25 years - give or take a few - and played to a 12 to 15 handicap (always using a Titlest DT)...I switched to a softer feel Srixon and loved it, especially around the greeens. But switched to the Srixon AD333 as a recommendation after reviewing my swing, speed, trajectory etc. at Golfballs.com retail outlet. I still get the soft feel but I'm hitting the ball longer (and straighter) than ever. I wish I had the time to play regularly again...I think I could finally break 80 and do it conistently. For now, I've added larger grips for arthritis in my hands and use the Bionic Glove (love it too). I just feel confident when I look at the Srixon on the tee or line it up for a putt. I can go out and hit the ball better than ever. Not practicing or playing enough, there's always going to be a consistency issue. I love the game. And I do believe the Srixon AD333 has helped my game and confidence. I can't count on hitting every shot perfect...but I know I'll hit at least one really good every hole. So I mosey around and have fun any time I'm on the course.

Frequently asked questions about

how does this compare to the bridgestone e5 and the fixx

In my mind it's a better ball than the Fixx. More comparable to the e5 but the e5 is has urethane cover where the AD333 does not. Great golf ball though.

Srixon is launching a new 2 piece ball called Q-STAR. My question is about the future of the AD333. Is the AD333 nearing its final days here in the states?
