High performance at a lower price
My favorite balls are Srixon Z-Star XV's. They are the longest hitting ball I have ever played with, but are very unforgiving.
My second favorite is the Titleist Pro-V1. It is not as long as the Srixon, but it is slightly more forgiving of mis-hits. It also holds the green better than a Srixon.
I was given a sleeve of Bridgestone e6's in a ditty bag at a tournament and decided to play them that day. I was immediately impressed with their feel off the driver face and their very good distance. They held the green very well too. They were very forgiving of mis-hits.
When I got a flyer from GolfBalls.com about e6's and the newer e7's being on sale, I decided to try the e7's. I even had them personalized.
I played the e7's in the Web.com ProAm in March and was extremely pleased with their performance. I would rate them in a tight slot between the Titleist Pro-V1 and the Srixon Z-Star XV. They are longer than the PRo-V1 but not as long as the Srixon and they hold the green a whole lot better than both.
The sale price was outstanding and came in almost 40% cheaper than the other top brands I mentioned. I think I've found my new favorite ball.
